This is a 151 frame improvement to FractalFusion's run. Inputting keys to play each stage starts faster 3 frames than FractalFusion's. (If I start inputting in wrong timing, that will affect nothing.)

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.2 re-recording v19.5
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Uses a level password

Funny, I watched the previous TAS just today. I'll pick it up for encoding now, this will be a very fun game to have an optimization competition with. Edit: Clearly Raiscan is insane, I'm incapable of going below 341kb without getting quality issues... just, what on Earth. o.O Edit 2: Got to 275kb.

Haha, this was way better than I expected. Also 151 frames seems like a big improvement on a game like this. Even clearer yes vote than AngerFist's.

At first, I was going to ask why the game is being run on the Japanese version. Then I realized that FractalFusion's run is also on the Japanese version. It's tough to notice improvements, but the run is certainly impressive nonetheless. Nice job!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Somewhat off topic, it seems appropriate to bring up this old College Humor goodie: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1770138 It actually takes a little longer to watch this video than it does to watch the run!

1 MB. My encode was 743KB. What bitrate did you use? Edit: I see there is another encode that is about 500KB.

For video, 14.5 Kbps (lossless), for audio 118 Kbps. Yep audio is like 85% of the file, lol.

Yep, the video is still 14.5 Kbps (lossless), but now the audio is 48 Kbps. IMO I still prefer the 1 MB encode since then the audio is transparent, and it's only 1 MB!

I never expected that a minesweeper TAS would be fun to watch. This TAS is fun. It's funny to see how slow the CPU does the update. Voting yes!

I believe it is an imposed delay for each removed block, to give an animation effect. I say this because the cursor can still be moved quickly, so it isn't lag. I also didn't think this would be any good, but the comments made me watch it. Yes vote!

facepalm a speedrun of minesweeper is a "joke" on its own, but having it in full hd is also funny.

Hah. I never watched this before. Doing a TAS of minesweeper sounds so stupid and insane, but it's hilarious. I love it.
