Hmm... Something's a little off there... :-) Anyway, this thread didn't exist previously, and has been created because - as the submission text says - Aktan is re-encoding it.

BTW, in case people didn't already know. This is THE SMB3 in 11 minutes, THE famous morimoto run, THE movie that started this site & community. I'm very happy that this now being streamed with a HQ encode for everyone to see. Thanks to the Amazing Aktan.

Voting no, due to this run being improvable by at least 37.5 seconds, using an obsolete emulator, using the (J) ROM without good reason, and for failing to (significantly) beat a real-time run. How did this ever get published?

Out of curiosity, what was the file size of the previous .avi? It feels like 12.3 MB is a big improvement over the previous file size, and yet it's of much higher quality. Thanks for the new encode!

I don't think there was a previous file?

Oh yes there was. It's just that nobody probably has it anymore. There exists a torrent for it, though.

Refers to a 40037932 byte AVI file. Oh yes, the standards and tools of nesvideos were a bit different that day.

There's a good reason to use the J rom. It's the harder game! edit: I might have the original morimoto AVI from nesvideos, do you want me to get it?

Thanks for giving me one less reason to keep famtasia hanging around on my computer!

Sorry guys, found another error. The screen has been shifted down 7 pixels. Dang Famtasia encoding is tricky. Anyway all files have been replaced yet again. Enjoy!
