I updated the forum ranks to includes user's player rank as a part of their forum rank. Under the new system, a player is still their usual player rank. But an editor that is also a player will be editor/player. A judge that is an expert player will be judge / expert player. As an added bonus, the Player rank is more automated, so a user will immediately have a player rank once their first movie is published (and publishers no longer have to remember to manually change this).

It seems a few editor players are still only players, while other get this extra editor title. For example, Acmlm is now also an editor in his rank, while others like me and Afaq (who are both editors) did not get this new rank. Is this because of our rank as players?

This came up on IRC earlier - since player rank used to supersede editor rank, someone will most likely need to go and assign editor ranks manually to fix that.

I disagree. I think that Publishers and Movie Editors are pretty much equivilant... if not some more of the power leaning towards Movie Editors. I'd kill for the power to edit unjudged submissions, mostly so that I don't have to post that I've uploaded the video to YouTube though, heh.

Actually, I changed the privileges for movie editor / publisher so that movie editor is completely a subset of publisher.

It was a nice surprise to see the added title, just so a newb knows who to bug if something sucks, or something. I would also like to point out that I am awesome, and thus need a title. :D
