Post subject: NES TAS question

I've been wanting to tas nes for a while, but theres one problem. Whenever I use fceux it screws up and closes out. I can't complete the first level of any game, not even dig dug. I'm running windows vista if that helps

ask it in the forum for FCEUX anyway have you installed the latest DirectX, and the latest drivers for your graphics card and monitor, and the latest Windows Updates? If that doesn't work, try setting FCEUX to run in compatibility mode...and I weep for humanity whenever I see anyone else have to mention this, but don't run the emulator inside the zip; extract all of the files first and double-click the .exe file

Moved topic to FCEUX subforum. As for your problem you will have to elaborate on terms like "screws up" and "cant' complete a level". There are many ways in which something can screw up. Does it crash? Does it not record? What emulator version are you using? What is your method for starting to record? The more details the more I can help you. Vista is certainly more problematic but XP or 7 but many people TAS with using FCEUX + Vista everyday.
