Brain Age is a puzzle game to exercise your brain a little each day. It is inspired by the research of professor Ryuta Kawashima. You will play a variety of puzzles to train your brain. Although there has been controversy over the scientific effectiveness of the game in keeping your brain active, the game got very popular.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: desmume-0.9.6
  • Abuses programming errors
  • Manipulates luck
  • Uses game restart sequence
Note: The replay is not quite deterministic. If the replay runs desync,
1, Save at frame 117 during playing the movie.
2, Load the savestate slot.
3, Play the movie from beggining again and it will run well.

About the run

This run shows you how you can abuse the number recognition program by secretly drawing the number answer in each picture. You can see random characters on Brain Age Check mode, and video game stuff on calculations X 100 mode. The latter mode, the run ignores the game time and failed to launch a rocket. This is because the run aims to be as entertaining as possible.

Special thanks

  • ISM, Kuromitsu, Magi, 890, 0xwas, and WaddleDX, for their runs.
  • Writers of Nico Nico Pedia, for their article

this is even better than the version I watched before on youtube. these are the kinds of TASes that are what TASing is about. And this is the kind of out of the box TASing I was hoping to see with DS rerecording. Big yes vote.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

This definitely proves that TASing is an art. Awesome drawing skills. We're these done largely by 'hand', or was there any computer generation involved? <_< Definite yes vote as a highly artistic movie.

ƒantastic work there! Some of the drawings were quite impressive, and of course the way they had no relation whatsoever to what the game expected was endlessly amusing.

This is fun. The game takes all the images as numbers. Yes vote and please let this get a star on the sheer entertainment factor.

Ah, the DS. There are some games where the touch screen isn't really used very well and doesn't lend itself to very effective TASing. (We've seen submissions of some of those games, which were rightly rejected.) And then there are games where the input is complex enough that it lends itself to outrageous forms of abuse. This is one of those games. Yes vote. Once again I cracked up. Obvious yes vote.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

That was awesome, the Tsutaaja made me laugh my head off for completely inappropriate lessons, too (Talk with me in private if you really want to know). Yes voted, and encoding losslessly and awesomer than Grunt... because I'm a massive egotist.

Hell yes this. If not this, then... well, I shall be giving it Notable status whatsoever... but it'd be nonsense for it not to be starred!

I really like this run and thus I voted yes. But what is so earth-shattering about this run that it needs to get a star? It is quite artistic and all, but star material? I think not.

Yes vote and star recommendation here. It may not be as fast paced as the previous attempt, but it is definitely more satisfying to see nice pictures instead of scribbles (that still doesn't look like numbers) for the most part. I recommend the tag "contains speed/entertainment trade-offs".
