I think it's important to suggest that you don't need to TAS here to contribute. Encoding, Coaching, even voting on submissions is helping out.
Another good point brought up. I added this as question #9. It directs them to the Helping page.

Randil & Raiscan, I think you guys are doing a great job with this newbie forum and related pages. NewcomersAnticipatedQuestions.html looks really nice. Keep it up!

I've added a sub-guideline to "If you're unsure, ask". This is because I feel that too many of the threads started have a vague title; one that either gives no information on the question at hand or provides too little to make a future search on the matter provide a noticable result. As always, any requests for guidelines and/or amendments can be discussed here.

Hello everyone! I have a very simple question. What should I use to translate my texts for English? I'm from: RJ-Brazil
I am a fanatic of games, discovered the TASorgvideos.org through friends.

I have a sonic 3 tas for newgame+. The problem is that it has many mistakes, and I do not know how to input splice on Gens 11a
If a map had all the information, it would look like this: (shows black construction paper) "Now that's a map!' XD

For most movies that I have worked on that needed to splice my inputs with, I have used TAS Movie Editor. You could edit and even splice emulator movie files, like .gmv (Gens 11a/Gens 11b) and .vbm (VBA-rr).
