Players like adelikat and Randil got over 2000 points a while ago. In my opinion, this is a sign that we should add a new player rank. I propose having a "Master player" rank for players who get more than 3999 points. What do you think about it?

I propose the new "I like to make proposals" rank.

I propose the new "Who gives a ****" rank.

Aah yes, I marvel at how many hours I've spent in front of FCEU. I don't have much time nowadays, but there have been times when I TASed ~40 hours per week. It's quite amazing that I still TAS interesting after all this time!

Hey, if it weren't for that smiley, that would have hurt my feelings a little. :P To get back to the subject, I personally don't care much one way or the other about an additional rank.. "Expert player" rank is quite enough for me, and I don't really see the need for a higher level. Although "TASing machine" does have a nice ring to it. Hmm...

I still want a rank for > (8999 + 1) points. 3 guesses what it would be called. Also, if we make a rank for > 6000, might as well just call it the "adelikats only club"

I think there could be either one or two new ranks - at 5000 if one and at 4000 and 8000 if two. Both would follow reasonable progressions: 250 -> 500 -> 1000 -> 2000 -> 5000 or 250 -> 500 -> 1000 -> 2000 -> 4000 -> 8000 The latter probably makes more sense, unless we adjusted "Expert player" to be at 2500 instead of 2000. If there is only one new rank it could be as simple as "Master player". If we do have an 8000-9000 point rank perhaps it could be "Ninja". That way, adelikat can once again have something to aspire to. *cough*

I don't think additional ranks are needed for point counts over 5000. Only adelikat and maybe one or two other people in the future ever get so many points to warrant new ranks at such high point counts anyway.

I thought about this: 0 > 1 Former player 1 > 249 Player 250 > 449 Active Player 500 > 999 Experienced player 1000 > 1999 Skilled player 2000 > 4999 Professional player 5000 > 7999 Expert player >8000 Master Player

Just posting this list as I was curious about it myself. We currently have:
0 < Z < 1: 93 people - Former Player
1 < Z < 250: 141 people - Player
250 < Z < 500: 57 people - Active Player
500 < Z < 1000: 31 people - Experienced Player
1000 < Z < 2000: 16 people - Skilled Player
2000 < Z : 9 people - Expert Player
It's quite interesting to compare this to what this was when this rank system was introduced little over 2 years ago:

250 < Z < 500: 33 people - Active Player
500 < Z < 1000: 22 people - Experienced Player
1000 < Z < 2000: 7 people - Skilled Player
2000 < Z : 5 people - Expert Player
Out of the 9 people with more than 2000 player points only Randil has over 3000 and adelikat over 6000. In the current setup, a next rank would be at 4000. Even Randil is rather far away from such a rank. I have nothing against giving adelikat a heads-up, he certainly deserves it... but it would be a rank exclusively to him, and for a very long time (he might even reach 8000 before anyone else reaches 4000). I'm not quite sure how useful such a rank would be.

"TAS machine" wouldn't be too bad a title for the best players.

How about "The Most Bestest TASer of 'em all!" Or the obvious one: "TAS god".

How about we give adelikat the 'No adelikats' rank.
