The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Musashi Ganryu Tale'.
This game is known outside Japan as "Ganryu".
This game runs on the Neo-Geo MVS but was not released on the Neo-Geo AES home console.
On April 14th, 1612, Musashi defeated the famous - and some think superior - fencer Sasaki Ganryu Kojiro using a simple wooden sword which he carved from a boat oar on the way to the duel. Musashi had an opportunity to see Kojiro's sword sometime before the duel and knew of it's great length. Musashi carved the wooden sword to be of greater length. When Musashi arrived on the beach for the duel, he kept the wooden sword hidden behind him until the duel began. He jumped over a low strike of Kojiro, reaching about a meter off the ground and came down hard on Kojiro's head with his heavy wooden sword. Kojiro lay dying on the sand and Musashi left in a hurry without killing him. Some of Musashi's critics call him a coward for not killing him, but Musashi had proved his point as the killing of Kojiro was not the goal - defeating him was. This is why the Kojiro character in Musashi Ganryuki has a huge gash on his forehead. The storyline of Musashi Ganryuki is that Kojiro has come back from the dead to try and kill Musashi.
Summary
There is nothing I want to say only the items take less damage than the sword.
EDIT1: hmm .. my video dump repeatedly gets messed up for some reason.. but only the first 50-60%. The video looks a bit messed up and there is a sharp static sound throughout the entire 50-60%.
Anyone know what this is?

and my dump is exactly 4.00 GB so yeah this is likely it... how do I work around this?

EDIT3: Solved by dumping to losless instead of full frames. Redumping...
There is a lot of sliding, and little, if any, mook fighting. And the bosses are attacked constantly. Oh, and some unexpected routes where used too.
It's adecent game choice and a good run. It's a yes vote from me.
Beware Musashi's deadly ankle kick attack!
This was very repetitive, though the third stage broke things up a bit. Still, voting meh. About the best I can say for this game is that it has very meaty sound effects.
Also, I thought Musashi was a samurai, but he's pretty clearly being made out to be a ninja here...

So, slide tackle to the end of the level, then attack the boss constantly until he dies. For a NeoGeo game, this is pretty weak.
Stage 5 was the only level that broke up the monotony by being vertical instead of horizontal. Still, this was a big snorefest. Just poor game choice.

I love arcade games :) While the sliding was a bit repetitive, I pretty much enjoyed this run. Yes vote. Thanks for the encode but if this gets accepted, I hope the sound in the encode will be better.

So the sword is for showing and not for blowing, interesting... stupid jokes aside, kind of boring to see him sliding most of the time but well if that's the only way to make it quick guess it's passable mostly due the movie is short enough not to be boring.
Voting Yes because it's nicely done and the cutscenes made me giggle.

Even though there was a lot of sliding, I liked it. The stages are pretty varied, and the graphics and music are appealing. The boss fights are quite impressive, since you spend a lot of time narrowly dodging attacks. The run is pretty short, too. I'd say this gets a Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically.
Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.)
