Hmm... not sure about that. They said they've "eliminated the April 29 deadline". That might as well mean they're giving the community a few more months, rather than keeping the site online indefinitely.

For the time being, Google Videos, and every other streaming site for that matter that we're currently using is still available, and there's no reason to not offer our viewers a perfectly viable option.

When we uploaded the YouTube counterparts to the Google Videos, Grunt said that we should remove the Google Video link, stating that they'd be invalid soon enough. I don't know why an extension of the deadline would change that.

At the moment, there is no deadline at all.

Redundancy is good, but Youtube is up more often than TASVideos is, and we already have an Internet Archive link for most if not all of these, I think. So I don't think that outweighs putting a low-quality mirror among regular SD and HD encodes.
I don't really care too much either way, though. If they need to be put back then that's fine.
By the way, as far as I can tell, only 450M (Chrono Trigger) and 506M (Wario Land 4) have yet to receive a HD version. I'm still uploading 450M, it'll probably finish in two days or something since my internet is still being awful. :(
Is anybody working on 506M?

For us perhaps. But then every other month the Great Firewall of China, or Iran blocks YouTube to prevent the spreading of anti-government propaganda.

EDIT: minor update, as you can see this movie never finished processing. I'm going to upload a slightly smaller version that might have better luck. It will come online eventually.
