Hey there. Nothing much to add to the title, I just wanted to start making some TAS-movies, but as i downloaded, extracted and tried out the newest official FCEUX version with the TAS-Edit, I can't my .tas or convert it to a .fm2, well, I can, but it contains just free space then, even though I edited something. Please help. I know you hear that line often, but ehm... Hopefully you can help me out. :)

On TAS Editor, use File > Export to FM2 to save a .fm2 from TAS Edit.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Actually, I was that smart, it saves, but when I reopen it with importing or watching it, it contains nothing.

Do you load your movie to FCEUX first, then open TASEditor? It is the only way to actually import it to TASEditor, while the import function itself doesn't work. Also, there is a Recording mode, when all your input gets effaced, being replaced with the real-time input. Or you just get blank movie after all?

I just loaded the game and then went into the TAS Editor. ( maybe the most epic fail on this forum yet? ) Well, I tried what you said, I first loaded the game, then loaded the movie, then the TAS editor but if I set a key, it doesn't gets affected on the next frame. lame.. :/ /edit: Maybe someone can see the problem by using Teamviewer and taking a look what I do..?

Can you capture your screen into a video?

Now it doesn't even applies in the TAS-preview-movie, wtf? Here the video of both ways, the first one is the way I used before I got told to load the movie FIRST, which now ALSO doesn't even let me apply some changes, the second one is with loading the movie first, same effect as above. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujHQ9srz1_k Poor video quality since I just used Camstudio for that one.

lol, man, things are simpler than you expect (but you couldn't know the real reason because this tool is poorly documented & paused in developenent) After you set input you shall GREENZONE this input, load it into TASEdit. For that you just run your movie just before your input frame. Adelikat had uploaded my video demonstration of work with TASEdit, but for unknown reason keeps it private. If we embed it into this page, life would become easier for guys like you, Skelpolu. For now, see that at least.

Actually, since I'm German and my English skills aren't that good yet, I just don't get what you mean. Hmm, can you may make a short video about it, please? :s Oh, and yes, I already saw the demonstration, didn't helped at all, sadly.

You set input for frame 100 (for example). Then you double-click on the frame 90 (sends TASEdit to this frame) & press ||.

Either PM them to me, or post in this thread (if they are TASEdit-related).

Err what, I don't even Now I am totally confused, congratulations feos. :P I guess I just write it down again, a bit more detailed: Like in the video shown, I try to make an input on Frame "blablabla", but if I play it back, it doesnt affects the game as you can see.

You said that you "got that one now". I concluded you solved the main problem, but still have other problems. 1. Open TASEdit. 2. Set input to any frame (by double-clicking on a table cell). 3. Run this movie just by sending TASEdit to the very beginning (button <<) & then pressing || button. 4. See it running until your input & having its effect.

Yeah, it was kinda confusing what I wrote down there afterwards. Well, I tried to do so like you said, but it doesn't works. It doesn't takes effect like @ "4." It is so simple, but still doesn't works. Is there any version complication? Any options? I don't get why it doesn't works for me.
