If you are trying to be funny or being sarcastic, you failed terribly. I have no internet connection at home anymore and I'm posting this reply through my college library. Therefore I have not much time to scroll or read all the 10 pages on this thread, so your input were pretty much a waist of time if you were trying to be funny by giving this threads link.

OK OK, settle down. I'm sure he didn't mean to insult you or waste your time.

Thread recap: Run will be performed with US version, Samus runs very fast when you pump her arms, and I'm at the first set of super missiles. I have a LONG way to go. Expect wonderful things :O)

Hmm... I guess even with the new jogging technique, you still don't go fast enough to skip the bomb boss?

On a side note, the European version has convinced me that you can't escape the bomb room in the US version. I can now sleep well at night.

I thought I was 1-2 frames away in the US version but I was getting stuck far into the door in the PAL version. I don't see anyone creating the additional 5+ frames needed for the US escape.

Now I've watched your WIP and it looked great. It looked a little bit weird when Samus waved her cannon constantly but it was sure cool. I also liked your bombing tricks while waiting for the statue to become alive. Good job.

I found this at http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=other_tricks;action=display;num=1102093756 "seriously you can entirely skip mother brain, but it requires the Spaz-Plas glitch. use that in the starting area of crateria, and walk through the left door of that area (might wanna open the door first) you should see the planet start to explode like at the end, but there wont be a timer, and you can just walk back to your ship. when you go in your ship, you will trigger the ending cutscene, and the credits. you can completely skip ridley and mother brain, definitely cutting a LOT of time off your final time. it may not be allowed, but damn is it cool!" Does that have any standing? Can someone test it? Would it be disallowed if Radix is right and it is an emulator-exclusive glitch? Or wouldn't it matter?

Well, you won't see this in MF's run, because he aims for 100%, which means he needs the energy tank in Ridleys lair. ;-) But I think for another category, this would be allowed like with Zelda (up-down 5 minute walkthrough glitch) ... cu Fabian

Does that actually register as a %?

I'm pretty sure I counted 100 items without the Hyper Beam.

Right, right, because we're going by the in-game item completion meter.

Sorry for the lack of updates, been very busy. Haven't worked on the run since my last post. Well, I had some time tonight. Made all this progress in a couple of hours, I hope everyone enjoys this :O) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/24/MF_M3_Kraid.smv

I swear if you can get that much done in two hours, you really need to take a couple days off so we can see more :) How much of the exact item planning sequence have you made so far? Knowing this is a 100% run the fastest route is much more complicated than the any%. Have you got the basic outline for the major routes and then relying on trial and error for minor items like missle upgrades?
