I imagine that Redesign can be accessed in the same way - you'd just need to crawl through the entire game's map, adding in the offsets that aren't available by looking at them in the door editor.
But it said: "This ROM is PAL and will not work properly with SMILE" If I can read the map I'd like a 100% run :3:3:3

Any progress Hoandjzj? Also I don't know if I said this before, but your quicker Draygon kill was a nice find.
Thanks :D it came to me when I was watching his awesome run! About my 100% run, I've already collected 134 items, maybe I'm done in the next couple of days :)

It's a pity that after getting the speed booster, there's no way to get enough juice flowing to maximize speed, open the door, and then go super speeding through the lava of health draining annoyance. If there was a way to do so, it'd save a good chunk of time and look damn cool to boot. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

The only thing I could think is if they Super Short Charge and Water Ball after, but I don't think it would be faster. BTW Kelly, did you get my E-mail earlier? I may have sent 2 by accident though.

I just tried, and didn't get any PAL-related error, but all of the rooms were gibberish and some crashed SMILE (though crashing SMILE isn't all that difficult to do). I tried messing with the mdb.txt and the level_entries.txt files, but I didn't get too far, and it turns out I don't like Redesign enough to care. You can find a 100% map of the game though on Metroid Map Station.

No email or PM.. And in regards to the idea... if it seems possible, I definitely would be curious to know if it could save even 2 frames, as in the end, that could make all the difference. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Yea I'll send you a PM on Twin Galaxies and here just in case. I'm not sure it would be faster for them, but it would look cool it it was possible.

Why do you say it's not optimized? Is there something you know it's possible and didn't do or is it because you found later that it could be faster for some reason?

There is now a hard-type version of Metroid Super Zero Mission. http://www20.atpages.jp/smhack/?%A5%D5%A5%A1%A5%A4%A5%EB%A5%A2%A5%C3%A5%D7%A5%ED%A1%BC%A5%C0#q273f921 http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/812/ I'm playing it. It's hard indeed. Apparently there is at least one person capable of dominating this game in real time, though.

Hi, I've completed a TAS of version 2.3 of this hack, and I'm uploading it here, but the page rejected it and said: No acceptable movie file found in the ZIP I used Snes9X to record it and the zip content *.smv file, what was wrong :( I know it an outdated version of Snes9X, but is it acceptable?! Please help!

You uploaded a test run of Super Metroid Zero Mission v2.4 "Hard Edition" in May 2012. That seems like proof enough that you were working on Super Metroid Zero Mission runs prior to snes9x obsoletion to me.

Thanks turska :) I was working on "all items" v2.3 first, but then I found 2.4 was more interesting to TAS, so I completed it first, then I came back with v2.3!

It may be in the file properties as "modified" date.

To submit the run, you need to upload the movie file to userfiles with the submission text in the description, and then PM the link to admins (Nach, Ilari, and adelikat) who can override the snes9x 1.43 block and assign the submission to you.
