Ooh! This looks fun. I love runs that aim for something that isn't fastest-time.

So, if it isn't aiming for fastest completion, how do we compare this one to other runs?

We already have 4 published Symphony of the Night runs at the site. A 5th?

Didn't we have 5 zillion Super Metroid runs at once at one time? Also, wish there was a quicker way to search by name instead of going though 15 pages to get there. Search box please?

I don't think this is a good goal choice for this game - it doesn't have the same "all enemies all the time" feel or threat of instant death that, say, the Contra runs have. This, thus, basically amounts to a slower-paced tour of much of the game, which I think is redundant compared to the published runs we already have. Going to have to vote No on this one.

Four, not the case anymore. Also four Metroid runs, also not the case anymore (through some cheating by adelikat >_>). The search box is there at the main site.

Video removed because it's too long! Didn't know YouTube did that.

You have to be in good standing and meet certain requirements (possibly described in the help section) before you can upload videos of unlimited length. Otherwise you're limited to 15 minutes.

<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do

This doesn't even meet it's goal of minimal kill counter. There's a glitch involving the stopwatch and getting hit as it runs out and killing the boss at the same time that lets you not increase the kill count or get exp! People have reached the final save point with a kill count of ONE without tool assistance. Perhaps with that glitch, a kill count of 0 is possible.

There's more than one way to do the revenge glitch; you can also do it with the Spirit spell IIRC. I haven't watched the run but I doubt that arukAdo would overlook something that trivial.

Thanks but its me who discovered that glitch and who first reached the 0 kill count unassisted, and yeah i use that in the movie, the stop watch is only required for doopleganger, one way to tell this really happen is simply theres no level up when the kill occur (at level1 pretty much anything would make a levelup). Next time watch the movie at least before saying it doesnt reach its own goals. And try to get the heart refresh unassisted or without increasing luck, not even in a million years youll get it :p Ill fill more the submission text later, this isnt exactly a top priority thought so it may take a while, also the encode was replaced. Edit: on the previous youtube upload someone bringed up a good question that ill answer here since its not easy to figure, the reason im wasting almost 40 seconds to get the jewel knuckle is that the central clock room statue would be close if i was to go as fast as possible, there was no workaround for this.

I enjoyed watching this. It has a much slower pace than your other runs, and shows off more stuff. Thanks for making it!

Haha that was some crazy shit you pulled in the Shield Rod room. Not enough enemies to provide a truly interesting run, though I do admire how optimized and skillfully executed this is. You probably know SOTN like the back of your hand by this point.

Why the cancellation?

The site is not ready yet for having "too much" branches, I dont want this to take a space into the branches that could be used by something else (in the eventually it would be accepted, wich I doubt anyway), like low map. I know that if there are too much branches then its a matter to remove some runs to put some others, I dont support this and if someday the site finally allow for more goals (see saturn's case) then ill uncancel. Im already happy of the current branching and I know we wont have the liberty to add many more of them, this isnt a big issue to me overall, this is a minor branching and theres so many way to glitch the engine about killing its even hard to define what is a kill or not, and so you could have infinite subset of rules/goals, I dont have the pretention to say wich should fit the site or not. Now well if it must be uncanceled because people want it then be it, allthought im quite not certain if the route is really efficient, speed wise, and theres an encode now so im not sure it makes a big difference either way. Edit: in case you doubt of this, the 2 first comments are about the legitimity of the run goals, basicly people care more about # of branches than runs themselves, its annoying to say the least, I know its not general and not all audiance would say that, but still its there, and im not whilling to feed this kind of debate wether or not its a fine goal. (it is a fine goal for this game but anyway, guess its better on contra?!? lol)

Couldn't this be submitted under Vault since it's a great run that shows off a lot of unique glitches?
