Some people might be interested... Recently, Doom speedrun freaks managed to play level 07 in Doom2 without harming any monsters. (Normally you must kill all monsters or at least harm them...) Doomworld has more info about this. I think this is great. It seems that anything is possible! :)

uh.... killing no mosnters is easy. unless they did it on nightmare difficulty, but even so... doesnt sound impossible.

You are right FODA, killing no monsters is relatively easy, but level 7 was one of those (very few) levels that was always thought absolutely impossible that way. This kind of research was done before they saw it was possible: http://www.doom2.net/doom2/research/map7.html Super jump it is...

i remember seeing some doom2 run, some guy use rocket launcher to shoot at himself and warp thru wall. is that the rocket launcher thing?

There have been co-op finishing without killing any monster (use megahealth and SSG) and I remember one built demo which used a rocket into an enemy to get a boost onto the final ledge. In pacifist you cannot damage the monsters, however. Something that surprised me even more is that noone has done pacifist level02 yet, if I read that right.

Yes, nobody has done level 02 pacifist without tools. Tool-assisted run takes 31 seconds, but is heavily based on luck. Nobody wants to play it 1 000 000 000 times just to get it almost done.
