With the screen warping glitch in LA, one could actually finish the game in about 7 minutes. Since you can warp to the final dungeon from the beach you start on.
That's impossible. Unless there's another glitch that I don't know about, you can't get into the Wind Fish's egg without the eight instruments.

It's very possible with the select warp. You can even bypas the Nightmares and walk straight up to the Wind Fish if I remember correctly..
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

http://www.hostultra.com/~z4g/tricks/fivemin.html That site gives step-by-step picture instructions on how to accomplish that task.

Ugh, this is so annoying. I am one bomb drop away from the wand, and I can't get it! I've tried thousands of times and it wont appear. Where are you bombs????

try getting bombs to appear in the earlier rooms, maybe you'll have better luck with the randomness there.

well, as a last resort you can try the overworld; blue octoroks and moblins have a very high probability of dropping bombs.

... Why would I go into the overworld? Im in the middle of a dungeon. And I've already gotten bombs in here, but I need another one.

I know, I was thinking about going back to an earlier save, but that's if you didn't enter with 8 bombs. The room that I usually get bombs in 6 is the one with the like-likes and wizzrobes (1 left, 4 up). But the randomness could change for you, sometimes I have to redo the whole dungeon because of it. :|

Yay, I got it. But I still can't kill wizrobes without bombs :(

I should have known this would happen. Haha, it was fun solving the first quest, regularly. I have no interest in doing the second quest, first quest swordless, and second quest swordless. They would be fun to watch though.
Hmm, I know what you mean. I'm starting to lose interest in solving the 2nd quest also. Ive been doing speed runs and working on cobra triangle rather than working on zelda. 2nd quest thread doesnt seem so active either. So I dunno, would anyone still be interested in seeing me finish 2nd quest?

LoZ in general is quite active, despite the 2nd quest thread not getting as much attention and the 1st quest time attack being done. TSA, Michael, and I have been posting about LoZ speed run routes at ZHQ. It's good to know that the swordless first quest is also getting attention.
So I dunno, would anyone still be interested in seeing me finish 2nd quest?
I'd be interested in seeing a second quest time attack. Btw, how are you doing with your speed runs? :)

I'm starting to lose interest in solving the 2nd quest also. Didn't I already solve it with the route I posted in the other topic? If you take some time to study the map, you'll see that planning a 2nd quest route is much simpler than planning a 1st quest route.

Btw, how are you doing with your speed runs? :) Ive been playing Mario 3, LoZ, Megaman 2. Also thinking about getting back into quake and beating the Nightmare run on Arc's site instead of doing a snes run. TSA, Michael, and I have been posting about LoZ speed run routes at ZHQ. Is one of you going to do a full Zelda speed run?

Alright, if you're sure about it, then Ill just use the route you posted then.

(Sorry to get off of the topic but.. do you have a specific plan in mind? (and what about TF? e.g. rocket jump courses))

TSA just did another run recently (the discussion thread is here). I'm planning to do a full run soon; just a little more practice in 6, 8, and 9, as well as some experimentation using different swords (the challenges have helped a lot), and Michael mentioned he may do one as well.

Well I was just planning to do a speed run of game. I've been doing quake speed run for like 6 years now. I dont know what's going on in TF right now. Any competitions still in TF?

Alright, if you're sure about it, then Ill just use the route you posted then. Yeah, I'm pretty sure about the route. If you want you can switch level 5 with the 3+7 group, but it wouldn't matter unless one works out better with the keys. Speaking of keys, someone needs to count them all up. I'll probably do that tomorrow, but someone should check to make sure I don't make a mistake. We wouldn't want the route to involve having a negative number of keys like it did last time.

Wow. I REALLY dislike dungeon 6 now. Now, I'm one bomb drop away from beating it, and of course, no enemies are dropping bombs.

Which enemy do you need to kill with bombs? Would it be possible to use arrows instead?

Did you use arrows for the other enemies so you have more left over for the wizzrobes? If you did that already, you could try redoing a few rooms and see if that affects the item droppings. You could also try moving Link around in such a way to try to get all the wizzrobes to come close together so you can kill a lot of them with one bomb.
