  • Emulator: FCEUX 2.1.5
  • Wraps or password: The 1-1, 1-2 and 4-2 warps
  • The programming errors I abuse the most were the wall jump and the small hit box of the enemy
  • I don't die, take hit or save (except the rerecord)
  • At the beginning I was just tring to trained myself whit the emulator (it's the second TSA of my live)and at the and of the first level I decide to do the best possible performance I can
  • For the one who don't know Super mario bros. It's a game where you need to go to every level end's castle to save the princess peach
  • There were two major difficulties in my run 1. I'm new in the TSA domain and 2. I finsh this game only one time before (In the firt TAS I had done 24h before this one) so I had difficulty with the warps zone
  • I think this movie is an improvment of another movie cause I think I beat the klmz 4:58 record

Guga: Removing branch, since is unnecessary.

DarkKobold: I'll handle this.

adelikat: Set PAL flag appropriately for this movie

DarkKobold: This movie failed to beat #2753: MUGG's NES Super Mario Bros. "PAL" in 04:56.48, the best current PAL submission.

Since when Super Mario Bros. 1 gives the possibility of select other character than Mario?

He means that he only rescues princess and not any toads.

Then the branch should be changed.

Your movie does not sync in FCEUX 2.1.2 with Super Mario Bros (JUE) [!]. E: It seems this movie uses the (E) ROM with NTSC timing, which is against the rules.

No vote for using the (E) ROM. You need to use the (JU) ROM for this game.

No vote for timing violation/abuse. How many times have I seen this happen already?
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

I was wondering how a first-timer could beat SMB by ten freaking seconds, which would be nothing less than earth-shattering. That explains it. Quick rejection?

It's considered bad to use the E ROM instead of the U or J ROM.
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

The fm2 that was submitted is not something that FCEUX will produce without someone who knows what they are doing at least somewhat (enough that this is clearly not an honest mistake). All one has to do to "trick" the site is to open the .fm2 and set the Pal Flag to 0. I have "fixed" this, so the time for this movie is now accurately reflected.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects
