Someone asked for this... i'm just doing it for im... no speedruns... only showing all the game secrets and beating very high scores if possible at the same time... the hardest thing is the archery ... ( LOT OF RETRY!!)
REmoved my image :P
My Compu :CPU : Pentium 4 2.4ghz 800fsb with hyper-threading, board : Asus P4P800 Deluxe, RAM : 256mo DDR PC2700 (it suck!), Video : Asus GForce4Ti 128mo, Sound : Sound Blaster Audigy
Then finish it :) ... your speedruns are surely better then mines :P
I've started an Adventure Island run at the same time, so i will be able to finish it sooner.

A friend of mine did an Adventure Island speed run and it is at my site. It is a very long and hard game, the lenght of the video is 40:20, you'll get a pain in the %$&, trust me :)
I'm surprised that the makers of Track & Field didn't put any special code to the game for players who seem to play impossibly.
But it's fun to think a human running 15 meters/second (54 km/h) :)
Yeah Island is kinda hard... and im trying to do the whole game skating as much as I can! Lot of jumping in this game hehehe!
And for track and field ... jumping 6-7 time the height of the player is not realistic either... lol... try shooting the javelin as high as you can .... i think its 80degres ... you will have a nice surprise... and for the shooting part.... try getting a score over 27000 ... that's the score I always get... shooting the crow 4 times

Arc US movie European movie(most recent movie)

Long Jump: 14m66 14m66 14m66
110 Hurdles: 9:59 9:49 9:48
Javelin Throw: 137m65 137m65 137m65
Skeet Shooting: 26300 28200 28200

High Jump: 2m26 2m26 2m26
Final score: 168650 210660 218500
Edit: Ok, I've edited that post to compare movies. All of them don't aim for best final score. Also, in european, bonuses were obtained which make the movie slower.
Bisqwit have just refused my run on this game.So maybe you could compare. Is my run better than Arc's run or Arc's better than me?
MineArc
PS. For more details check there https://tasvideos.org/forum/topics/223
<Bisqwit> Hmh, Genisto didn't the demonstrate "off by 1 degree" fault in Long Jump.
<Bisqwit> I'm not really happily taking this one if it's only purpose is to beat Arc's times
<PhilC> I don't understand what you're saying
<Bisqwit> Genisto got 45 degrees 3 times in Long jump
<Bisqwit> He didn't demonstrate what happens if you get 46 degrees
<Bisqwit> Arc did
<PhilC> Yeah and?
<Bisqwit> Well this isn't nice
<PhilC> ok but demonstrate the speed
<Bisqwit> Well there was three thries
<Bisqwit> tries
<PhilC> The speed is more important than degree
<Bisqwit> You only need one of them to demonstrate your superiority
<PhilC> anyway check ther others disciplin
<PhilC> it happens only once
<Bisqwit> The second javelin throw is also really bad. It's not funny or anythinfg
<Bisqwit> -f
<PhilC> :@
<Bisqwit> I'm happy that you made those records, but I'm not taking this video
<PhilC> It was pretty long to do this video I' really not happy about your attitude
<Bisqwit> I'm not evaluating efforts but results.
<PhilC> results is there btw
<Bisqwit> The second triple jump wasn't nice either...
<PhilC> It took my weekend to do this all I know it was refused
<Bisqwit> I'm thinking of adding it as a supplement to the entry, but I might do it later
<PhilC> Arc have done major mistakes in archery and skeet shooting
<PhilC> It was easy to do 28 200 in skeet shooting
<PhilC> and archery we obtained the bonus
<PhilC> not Arc
That's our conversation.
I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying he wanted you to purposely mess up? Aren't the videos supposed to be perfect?
Edit: I don't understand what Bisqwit means when he says something isn't nice, for example "Well this isn't nice" or "The second triple jump wasn't nice either..." Does he mean that it's not nice to get better scores than Arc?
has Arc seen it? If he also believes that your run is better than his then I'm sure that will help settle it. I think what Bisqwit was saying is that the aesthetic component of this game is more important than speed (since it was classified as an aesthetic run to begin with).
has arc seen it? If he concurs that your run is better than his then I'm sure it will settle it.
Why does it matter if Arc thinks it's better than his. It's not an opinion question, just compare the scores and you'll see which is better.
it would help to have the imput of someone who has spent time doing the run as well. If both authors agree that the run is better, then it will help support Phil's claim. Remember that Arc meant his run to be an aesthetic form, so scores aren't the only thing in question. (I edited my post a bit just seconds after you posted)
Some things are better: the hurdles and archery.
Others are debateable aesthetically.
I think that your high jump is worse.
I think that another issue is underlying.
Look at Castlevania. Bisqwit made 8 time attacks for it and thought of some extremely innovative ideas (inspiring my later Ghosts 'n Goblins videos and in general improving my subsequent time attacks.) Then instead of telling Bisqwit in the Castlevania thread that you discovered that the character can be used as a critical hit on bosses, you said that you would make your own (taking all of his ideas and adding a little). 'Sorry Bisqwit . LOL'
Some games should be competed.
In others, I believe that you should just assist the original creator if s/he is interested in improving it.
What are you trying to say??? I think my Castlevania 3 inspired him to do his v8 btw by "adding a little" I think it's adding a lot.26 seconds is saved and it's a lot.Yeah it sure his version inspired us to do this timeattack. Are you frustrated because we managed to do a lot better than you?Btw you didn't inspire me to do T&F I think it's you who should inspire from us.
Edit. BTW it's Bisqwit himself who said that we should improve the games on his site instead of starting some boring or unknown games. So that's what I have done.
Shortly said, I refused the Track'n Field submission because its goal seemed to be "ego", not "entertainment".
Its only motivator was to "beat" Arc.
It did that - it found bigger score and better times in many tasks.
Arc aimed for that too, but he also tried to demonstrate what happens if you do even slight looking mistakes.
I like Arc's goal better.
I couldn't care less of the exact "best numbers". The mission "this isn't humanly possible" has already been reached, and I'm satisfied with that.
My site is not an ego collection. It's for entertaining movies. If a movie happens to improve records (especially someone else's) but is less interesting, I'll reject it. I did that once for Michael Fried's SMB3 movie, too.
Regarding Castlevania v8, the Akumajou Densetsu run wasn't an inspiring factor. I had just watched the faults of v7 movie long enough to decide how to improve it.
1st. You are very wrong first the total time is 40 seconds slower.
2nd. I have done some mistakes that are really visible.
3rd. I didn't do the best scores.
You can see the same thing in my video.
At 110m hurdles I have managed to do 9:54,having Archery 5800 is possible and 100m run.All these disciplin can be easily be done at full. You only need to know what to do.
It's not an "ego" movie. You are very wrong.
ok anyway it's not the subject there. It's Arc who suddenly decided to change the subject.
