I wonder if it might be possible to make a Any& walkathon, because I didn't see any publication and submission of that. Otherwise, I will go for it.

It doesn't work. That is, for several reasons, it's impossible to finish the game without running

Well, I found this: http://www.youtube.com/comment?lc=aYWiFKqTIc3nlQR4byeKuLFqZP_ko8bx5pMsQjZg0GA And the second part:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QcQrXg_z90&feature=channel_video_title It possible to beat the game without the B button, but I dont understand why the game sound bugs and crash after at the end of the game? Someone would explain me?

got no idea what yur talking about, but you proved us all wrong that smb2j can be beaten without pressing 'b' button.

Because the author of that run used the pirate NES rom instead of the FDS one. Notice that the title screen logo is missing, and the right-side-up faster piranha plants (starting in 4-1) remain green instead of becoming red.

Nope. He DID press the B button to get across the springboard jump in 4-1, two gaps in 4-3, a few jumps at the end of 8-3, and the first jump of 8-4. That's a decent number of situations left to solve (most looking impossible) before this run can truly be labeled a walkathon, and that's just for the warped run; the warpless run would introduce so many more...<_<'

Something I've always wondered... Would it be possible to go through the wall in 8-4 after the water part? You know, the tiny area where you have to go on top of the wall that is partly eating the pipe. Couldn't you just get through the wall and shave a bit of time?

Of course it's possible. But it could only save a bit distance, and it couldn't save time. I've tested it before.

How come it doesn't save time? I feel that going straight (while slowing down a slight bit) would be a lot faster than going around...

When going through the wall, the speed would turn to zero, and don't forget that you need to speed up to enter the pipe. That would take a lot of time.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/582605642053180 Here is me and KFCMario's latest work, a "Luigi version" TAS for SMB2J. We're at 8-1 right now, and up to now, 105 frames are saved. The improvements come from 1-1, 1-2 and 5-2, and we're looking forward to seeing more improvements in world 8. All the input was done by me. It's really hard work to complete every stage as entertaining as possible, so please bring comments after watching the WIP. Thank you.

So I finally got around to watching this Luigi WIP, and it was awesome! :D Excellent work so far, guys. Loved the pit mushroom grab in 1-1, the predicted fireball for the hammer bro at the end of 4-2, the big jump off the paratroopa to the flag at the end of 4-3, and the skidding sound being played to the music. :)

Thank you. Your comment means a lot to us. What about the movement of going through the long firebar at the beginning of 4-4? Do you like it?

Great WIP. 4-4 and 5-2 were the most entertaining levels, with so much happening on the screen and in the sound channels. 5-1 was a close second with all the enemy kills. And skidding/shooting to the music never gets old. One question though, why FCEU? It's outdated.

Thanks for the comments! I prefer FCEU so I always TAS on FCEU and then convert the fcm movie to fm2. So does Mars and KFCMario.
