Here's wishing for Riddle of the Sphinx -- possibly 100% completion in mode 3 if applicable. Luck manipulation may be necessary, because some traders like to steal stuff rather than giving them. There are also ladies who not only refill your health, but also randomly give certain items. EDIT: Wish fulfilled at http://tasvideos.org/4767S.html

Well, since this is kinda turning into the wishlist thread... :p Adventure: would be funny if game 3 (random object starting positions) was picked, and the RNG made one of the keys get locked inside its own castle (yes, this can happen. I don't remember which color key it can happen to, I think the white one?), and some kind of glitch was found allowing access to the inside of the white castle anyway. Bonus points if the RNG decided the chalice would be stuck inside the white castle too. :p Pac-Man: should probably be done on the fastest speed (game 6?), at hardest difficulty (difficulty switch setting A). I don't know for certain, but I suspect that if you get to a high enough level/score/life count, something will eventually go bonkers. XD Combat: You can fly through walls while you wrap around the screen multiple times in the tanks mode. Dunno if the other vehicles have their own (useful, anyway) glitches to exploit. Space Invaders: game 48 with both switches set to A: - 2 fat players - moving shields - fast, crooked-path enemy shots - invisible invaders and keep it going for as many waves until they no longer start out any lower to the ground, I think 4? Crystal Castles: Dunno if this game actually has an ending level, like the arcade version has. I never got past level 8 to find out. -_- Space Attack: This is a short little game. Would be interesting to see use of the combo nature of the explosions to tear apart the enemy fleets quickly.

Let's make this official. 2600 Wishlist commence! I'll say Pitfall, despite it being obvious.

Keystone Capers could be fun, but like H.E.R.O, superior versions exist, so doing on Atari would be lame.

Speaking of that... Ok, Pitfall is possibly one of the best-known Atari2600 games ever (if we ignore ET and Pacman). However, is it a good game for TASing? IIRC the only thing you do is run to the right and sometimes jump. That's it. Nothing more. If it gets published, it will be solely because it's a famous game.

TrenchAce mentioned this already in the Bizhawk Development thread, Warlords. I thought of it immediately when I first saw the submitted runs. Lots of insane battles, introducing groups of friends to Warlords throughout the years! I'd also love to see how far Kaboom! can be pushed, as well. A personal favorite of mine, getting anywhere over 2,000 points is really intense. Some other 'infinite' games that stick out are... Fast Food: you are a mouth that eats scrolling junk food in accelerating rounds, avoiding purple pickles which end the game after 6 collected, could potentially become impossible to continue. Cosmic Ark would be a good one, and I'm not sure if that actually does end eventually, you're a spaceship that steals little creatures off planets in a UFO and shoot asteroids too. Haunted House is a strange 'Adventure'-ish game where you have to collect items in a pre-set 'dungeon', dark and difficult... never fully figured the game out, and it's uncommon. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Pitfall II as it has way, way more gameplay and substance than Pitfall. Everyone should check that game out, it's actually decent. Sneak 'n' Peak would be a good joke submission, or possibly to show every single spot you can hide. Yeah, a game where you hide n seek, lol. I own all these cartridges and many more... I'm currently trying my very first time at TASing today and I'm almost done with the 2nd repeat of a game called Megamania. A shooter that people always say looks like Space Invaders, but I think it's much better. I'll be sharing some WIPs when I get more comfortable with TASing but my netbook can't handle much.
Currently obsessed with: Mega Man 2 hacks, SFA3, Super Metroid Zero Mission, MM8BDM (Skulltag MegaMan mod, it's amazing!)

River Raid: Played the heck out of it as a kid. To this day I still don't know if it has an end. Frankenstein's Monster: Another game with multiple stages I could never "beat" (nor do I know if it has an end either!). I think stage four was the farthest I got.

I made a Pitfall TAS that I posted in this topic: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=328789#328789 It probably isn't submitting material, but it might interest you.

Oh there's another game I would like to see beaten (well, if it has an ending, that is!). I don't know how it's called, but you are a cop in a mall, and you have to chase after a thief. The mall spans across multiple screens. It has three floors, mechanical stairs on each end, and an elevator in the middle. It was pretty fun.

Keystone Kapers. Unfortunately, the game hasn't an ending.

Where have all the good men gone And where are all the gods? Where's the street-wise Hercules To fight the rising odds? Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night toss and turn and dream of what I need I need a H.E.R.O. I'm holding out for a H.E.R.O. 'til the end of the night He's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight I need a H.E.R.O. (H.E.R.O.) I'm holding out for a H.E.R.O. 'til the morning light He's gotta be sure And it's gotta be soon And he's gotta be larger than life Larger than life

I don't know, H.E.R.O.'s first console was the Atari 2600.

AVGN KO Boxing would be one of the best looking game in Atari2600. I'd like to watch a legit TAS of the game. lua: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/2432316411148352 haha, AVGN icon is revived. lol http://tasvideos.org/AVGN.html

Dragonfire (I loved it as kid) never end, after the white Dragon it repeats, so maybe one playthrough with one white Dragon finished.

With the release of 1.7.0 Pitfall II is now TASable. I spent quite a number of frustrating outs getting that DPC board to emulate correctly. The big payoff is if someone would be willing to make a TAS of this game. It is the most deserving of Atari 2600 games! Any takers :)
