Sweet Home is a horror RPG based on the film of the same name, published by Capcom in Japan only. It's the prototype of the Biohazard(Resident Evil). In this game, 5 characters are shut up in an old mansion and they aim at escaping from there fighting monsters and solving the puzzle. The player is able to construct parties freely and change a character to control anytime. One party is to 3 characters. This movie is mainly cleared by only 3 characters, Kazuo, Asuka and Emi. Using skipping dynamo technique.

FractalFusion: Added Nicovideo module.
feos: Accepting for Moons.

Author's nicovideo encode: Nicovideo (account): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20323522 Nicovideo (no account): http://www.nicozon.net/watch/sm20323522 EDIT: Watched, looks solid from what I know of the game and I can't find a faster TAS. Yes vote. Would be interested to know information about route planning/mechanics/possible improvements, though.

What's difference compare with this wip? http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=268660#268660 I never played this game. I find klmz press Start at 135 frame, and saved 8frames. It can be fixed in this submission?

Too bad there's no detailed description of route and items planning. Also I wonder if the number of random encounters could be reduced further (by using the "Call" for other team), because near the end there was a bit too much of those repetitive battles, but I assume it's necessary for some levelling. Anyway, I was pretty entertained (because the game itself is incredible), so I vote Yes.

Yes vote. Can I assume this will have a translation into English at some point? Possibly using the status screens from the [url=http://www.romhacking.net/translations/222/[/url] Sweet Home Translation?

I didn't know that. I'll fix it.

Level 16 is required to reach the final area. That's why, it's necessary to beat a lot of enemies near the end.

If it syncs with this run, that'll be nice. But I thought the site doesn't accept translation patches due to changing parts of the game (mainly having different text length resulting in differences in RNG). Btw, K (nice name!), can you mind elaborating what you've done in the run? It'll help non-japanese viewers and potential future TASers. :)

jlun2: I think Viewer means to use the Sweet Home Translation as a source for subtitles. I don't think he/she meant to run this game on the translated ROM. It is helpful, though, to have a semi-official source for translations. I admit I can't really follow an RPG in a language I don't know. This looked good, from what I saw, and the LUA display on the side was cool. It's a lot like what touch_me has done with runs on things like Dragon's Quest and Secret of Mana.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Yeah, what they said. I know there's no way this would sync with the patched ROM.

For the most part, textually, I have no idea what the heck's going on in this video. (All I could really surmise on the info pane was heroes' current HP, and I figured two stats were Strength and Defense, though I don't know which; and the bottom-left panel that showed enemy info, or steps to next random battle.) However, this will not stop me from voting Yes, and here's why: * Looks to be very well-done. Much attention was clearly paid to every fine detail. * The video encode has an info/comment panel add-on on the right to display stats and explain situations and decisions. It is my opinion that more RPG TASes need to do this. (Would be nice if someone could translate that stuff, by the way, although I understand that would take quite some time, but my opinion stands that there was obviously a LOT of work put into presentation.) * The door-creaking sound and the random battle lead-in are mesmerizing. Okay, so that's not really a reason for a Yes-vote, but I still liked the game's sound elements! Suggesting publication to Moon tier.
1/60 of a second is important; every frame matters.

Did you succeed? If the rest of the movie syncs, post it here and request the submission file replacement. You can upload to http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/my#uploadfile
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Can you compare your movie with klmz's one more precisely? Or its strategies are too different?

I think my movie is so different from klmz's that it's hard to compare. Because my movie is skipping dynamo.

I find it odd that a movie where luck has been manipulated to the point there's no section dedicated to grinding (despite the level requirement for the last part of the game) isn't tagged with Heavy luck manipulation. :P

People keep posting these things (same as with Notable Improvement) in a way like they were DELIBERATELY skipped. One is unable to perfectly mark everything! Help with just telling why it's needed.
