This is the SMB2JLuigiWarpless Run in SFC.It took me about 3 month to finish.Luigi is a character which is different from Mario, for details on this, please see the Happylee's description in FC Luigi's SMB2J Run.This run also could be considered as the Improvement of Soig's Luigi Run,it could be finished in less than 35 minutes.

Game objectives

  • Uses a suboptimal character
  • Uses no warps
  • Abuses programming error in the game
  • Genre: Platform

Level Highlights & Differences

  • 1-2:Luigi ran in the different route,it could make the stage more interesting.
  • 2-1:Enemies 100% kill.
  • 2-2:Although Luigi jumps higher than Mario,he still could not jump over the widest pit in this level without walljump.
  • 2-3:Enemies 100% kill.
  • 3-1:Different route in the front part, then red Koopa and Paranha plant were killed simultaneously.
  • 4-4:Luigi also needed to jump through the wall, but the way was different from Mario's.
  • 5-1:Bouncing high off turtles made Luigi high enough to reach the highest wall,so he didn't need to walljump.
  • 6-1:Going through the pipe is faster than walljump, but Mario didn't.
  • 6-4:Jumping through firebars twice like Mario.
  • 7-4:Luigi can't go through the three units high block entirely without slow down speed,it has already been mentioned in my FC Luigi Run
  • 8-2:The way to climb vine is faster than Mario's!Unfortunately,it can't be achieved in FC.
  • 8-3:Luigi didn't need to top out the lastest poisonous mushroom because for his farther jump.
  • 9-1,9-2,9-4: There are many music playings,it made those levels more interesting!
  • D-4:Going through wall the firebar like Mario, the difference was that Luigi just need to jump once in the wall then he could go through it.

feos: Added YT encode.
Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: While similar to the warpless Mario run of this game, this run has been received quite well. Accepting for Moons.
feos: Publishing this BKM.
feos: The branch seems to be warpless as well, to differentiate this movie from [2210] FDS Super Mario Bros. 2 "warps, Luigi" by HappyLee & KFCMARIO in 08:13.77.

Since there is a "Luigi" run that has been beaten I'm voting YES. Screw the similarities especially if another run exists. Also respectful towards the other one you and Happy Lee made change the branch to just "Luigi"

Doing a fast encode to gain more voters.

We have an any% with Mario and Luigi on FDS and a warpless with Mario on SNES then why not a warpless with Luigi? Yes vote!

I definitely enjoyed this run a good deal, and I think that's what counts. Yes vote.

Not to be outshadowed entirely by his brother, Luigi acquires the same personal trainer Mario used (KFC) and accomplishes the same obstacle course, unscathed, a mere 13 seconds slower. I would suggest a water level for the screenshot.

The glitches in this game are so much similar to NES version — the fact that impresses me every time I see a SNES Super Mario run. Yes vote, enjoyed the TAS.
S3&A [Amy amy%] improvement (with Evil_3D & kaan55) — currently in SPZ2 my TAS channel · If I ever come into your dream, I’ll be riding an eggship :)

Great. What happened in the end of A-4? Does it cost time?
Recent projects: SMB warpless TAS (2018), SMB warpless walkathon (2019), SMB something never done before (2019), Extra Mario Bros. (best ending) (2020).

This is a warpless version, for a warped one see [2210] FDS Super Mario Bros. 2 (JPN) "Luigi" by HappyLee, KFCMario in 08:13.77.
This is an error; the link here leads to a completely different game's TAS. Is this a typo, or is it meant to be this way?

The warpless versions of Super Mario Bros. 2J have been done on the SNES version since you have to complete the FDS version 8 times in order to access worlds A through D. In the SNES version, you only have to complete worlds 1 through 8.

What does this have to do with the game? Version or not, if it's on a different console, I would consider it a completely different game. And anyway, the other game's graphics is completely different I can already tell, even though I've only seen one picture of the game. Why are there 2 games listed as improvements over each other, I still don't understand. I consider it disorganized.

SNES Super Mario All-Stars: Lost Levels and FDS Super Mario Bros. 2 cannot be the same game! Sorry guys, I don't mean to be a nagger, I'm just awfully confused here. :/

I'm so sorry guys, I just noticed like right when I rewatched the video that it is the same game, you just select different "games" within the game it seems, but why would the console be relabeled "FDS" and "SNES", even if the platform looks like an NES game or an FDS game, what console is it literally on????
