When entering Chapter 7 from the teleporter room, the elevators get screwed up and you can't use them, and also the keys to use them aren't accessible there I think. Also, tyvm ti-will for finding that! So TTYD can go Koopless. I'm also glad there is finally a use for the superslide.
It was mentioned by Almo while he streamed the TAS that the crystal star would've been possible to get early using the levitation cheat. I wonder how does that work?

Because you can levitate over the elevator doors and go straight up with levitation. You can't actually use the elevators without the card key and you have to go a floor higher.

Oh. Can this at least be used to skip the White bobomb goose-chase?

Nope. You have to complete the Thwomp quiz in order to trigger Chapter 7. Otherwise you have to do the chase.

I don't think the elevator cutscenes will trigger unless the Elevator Key is used. Also, thanks for letting me know about that emulation fix, but unfortunately it only fixes some effects in Super Paper Mario. The Punies' graphics are still messed up:

Small timesaver to end the day! :D Link to video - May skip partner's text and the e-mail (need test); - The "cacophony" may produce lag during gameplay/cutscenes (same); - The garbage remix will stay until next battle. Saves a couple of seconds. EDIT: btw if someone is able to run aldelaro5's savestates, could you please do a .gci pack based on it? I tried with both Dolphin x32/x64, newer/older versions and it crashes everytime. That would be awesome for testing and could also be used on console! :)

That was incredible. Thank you for finding that as well. How come that remix isn't in the soundtrack Kappa

After testing, it turns out the permission skip is not possible. The loading zone will not trigger to the right of the gate. It worked for ti-will because he used a save file that previously completed Chapter 4. The shop key skip does work though.

Has anyone figured out why the Flurrie superslide able to be activated when opening a door? The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if there are other situations in which you could activate the glitch. For example, right before going into a cut-scene.

It works because there is a 4 frame delay before Flurrie is activated and there is a 1 frame window to open the door before she becomes activated. This only works for doors to places in the same loading zone. Basically you cannot do this through cut-scenes, loading zone transitions, or anything of that sort.

Saves time if done correctly. Optimally, about 15-20 seconds in TAS for each room. Doable on console, but needs some practice and a viable setup. More info in the vid description: Link to video

What happens if you enter from the right in the room after doing the glitch? Do you have to walk on the void or you appear after the (locked) door and you could just walk to the left side of the room?

You have a note on that video: "NOTE: A vast majority of open paths in the game has a complete collision box. These ones and few others are the exception." What do you mean by 'open paths'? Also, couldn't you use this method of getting into the walls of a room to skip any room that has a locked door that needs a key? Or, are the loading triggers only activated when you actually interact with the locked doors? Edit: In Chapter 4, when you keep running away from Doopliss, could you use the Goombella trick above to pass over the trigger zone so you don't need to exit the name screen, and run away from the battle?

You don't have Goombella after you lose Mario's identity...

I think he means that the loading zone isn't there for most open paths beyond closed doors or fences until you unlock the door or raise the gate (like the Twilight Town fence).

Ah, right. Duh. I wasn't thinking.

That makes sense. Hmm. I just think that both that Goombella glitch and the Flurrie glitch have so much more potential. I'll see if I can dig up my old game and experiment a bit. Edit: What about the Flurrie superslide when talking to someone? Is that possible?

It only works for doors that lead to places inside the same loading zone. Nothing else.

Does that work for chests? Also, I'm wondering how much you can explore the space station early using just the flurrie slide.

Q & A for DemonStrate Q: What do you mean by 'open paths'? A: What I mean by "path" is a part (extension) of the room that leads to a transition, another room loaded independently. I consider it "open" when there's no door that obstructs it (or any manual trigger, like "!") and a clip possibility (like in Rogueport Sewers or Shhwomp Fortress). Paths can be: - Partial: Solid invisible walls extend on the side, but not on the back, so it's possible to perform a jump from the extreme corner in the back (before falling) to the other side of the wall/inside the wall, and then walk back near the actual room to clip; - Complete : No solid walls once you cross the trigger (sides and back, the case in Boggly Woods and a lot of open areas); - Closed (completely solid): No way to get OoB from the inside, because there's walls everywhere (cannot fall). Q: Couldn't you use this method of getting into the walls of a room to skip any room that has a locked door that needs a key? A: It's not a question of locks or locked doors: It's all about triggers. If the trigger responsible of the transition activates when the room is loaded (or you already activated it), then yes. Otherwise, no. Q: Or, are the loading triggers only activated when you actually interact with the locked doors? A: For doors, as far as I know, yes. Q: In Chapter 4, when you keep running away from Doopliss, could you use the Goombella trick above to pass over the trigger zone so you don't need to exit the name screen, and run away from the battle? A: Same as Malleoz. And even with Vivian buffering I don't think it would be possible (because it's a cutscene triggered when you cross a line on the X axis. This line may extends over the solid contour of the room). Need to add the fact that solid objects (or even holes or water) might block the way after you OoB (and it happens often). Q & A for jlun2 Q: Does that work for chests (Flurrie Superslide)? A: No. Q: Also, I'm wondering how much you can explore the space station early using just the flurrie slide. A: You can't clip in the Teleporter room with the Superslide. Also, the glitch is not working at all with the elevators inside the station (I tested that yesterday). So it's completely useless for Chapter 7. It's clear, isn't it? ;)
