Well, i just finished watching them. I must say they are much faster/faster paced than Mike Larson's runs. Double Dragon 3 i especially liked how Phil used a variety of attacks, it was much more interesting to watch, same goes to Double Dragon 1. And the way you used your attacks...very slick, like in the second stage, there were a few enemies running after you while you were taking on an enemy in front of you, you stopped attacking and did a jump kick hurting the enemies behind you as well as in front of you. Most people just move out of the way...ok well i do anyways. Haha, and right when Chin came out of the door to attack you, you did a spin kick knocking him to the floor before he started talking, i found it a bit humorous how he then said how he was gonna take you out. I know its just a game, but i don't think anyone would be that cocky if they were on the ground abount to be pummled. A hell of a lot better than i was ever able to do ^-^ Thank you mate

I have just redone Double Dragon 1 and my new time is 10:26.Which is 49 seconds faster than my last release. From now on I know it will be hard to break it.

I'm redoing this game and I promise a sub 10 minutes run.Playing Double Dragon 3 reminds me of a strategy that can improve my time.

you can kill the enemies at the conveyor belt without having to touch them. just make them try to punch you, that way they stop walking, and if they stop walking at the edge of the belt, they will fall. if that doesn't delay you, it has big style :)

I'm making a movie of double dragon 1 finished with as least ability points as possible, it's not time attack, it's just to end the game as weak as possible (ignoring enemies, using the head to kill them, etc are good ways to lower the point count). i just finished level 2 and i have 480 points. 8)

ok here are my tips: - the head attack and the flying kick are worth 12 points, and knock down the enemy (wich means you won't be hitting enemies with energy below 0). - the throwable items don't add score, so use as much as possible. - hitting 2 enemies with 1 blow counts as 2 blows, so don't lose time with that. - throw enemies on the water or pits in 1 hit, or no hits at all on the conveyour belt. - the bomb can be reused many times, just throw at enemies feet so it doesn't blow - enemies will "die" if they are too far out of the screen. - the grab attack (4th heart) makes a lot of damage (4 knees and 1 throw) and costs only a kick (but will be available only very late in the game, if available at all...)

ok i finished the movie, it has 24 minutes (it's by far not a timeattack, it may get boring even at max speed hehehe) but i finish the game with 852 points at 4 hearts. i think it can be improved. i think this movie style can be called "low score attack" 8)

wow much faster, just because u planned a better attack pattern =) nice.... but there was at least 1 moment where you could have knocked down the enemy with 1 blow (before acquiring the flying kick) by using the head attack, but u chose to do kicks. and u can kill the first 2 chins by knocking them to the left of the screen and walking right, they will disappear. it's a bit faster than killing them.

The problem is if I do this is, does it really save time? If I do this I will have less EXP so will obtained the elbow attack later like in the final fight which I think will lose some time since I have hitted 2 Chin at once.So gained a lot more exp than hitting just 1 enemy.

if you want the elbow attack earlier you should consider using punches then :O

Punches are very slow compared to kick.I'm pretty sure it can't be beaten if you are sure it can be beaten then show me proof.

No I'm talking my total time. It's evident the 1st stage will be a little faster but stage 3 and 4 will it be faster?

the first 3 levels will be slower, i was making a movie and i got the elbow at level 3, but unfortunately it was not recording, i have level 1 and 2 made. i used punches whenever i had 2 people on same position, and i killed as fast as possible on the other situations. that way i optimized the punches usage, and i hope the elbow attack will make up for that on the fight with the 2 abobos and everything else.

I don't think it is a good idea to obtain the elbow when we first encounter the Abobos in stage 3 . It will slower the run and it will be tempting to use the elbow attack until the end of the game which I think can be boring to watch.

I've doing some planning for an improved version of this game. I've done some testing and anticipate about a 10-15 second improvment. most of that was from Using death as a shortcut in 2 places (only 2 because you only get 3 lives!) 1st place: in the cave of mission 3 where the BLUE stalagtites fall. By jumping off the ledge before it starts scolling you will die, but appear at the bottom next to where the abobo appears. My rough calculations showed that this was about 300 frames faster. 2nd place: mission 4 after the 1st chin fight. Theres a break in the floor before the abobo. By jumping in as soon as possible you will appear right on the climable way. This saved about 250 frames. In addition, the linda fight in the final room could be faster by using the elbow 1 time as soon as they appear. By getting in a few extra punches I could get the elbow attack in time to do this, that should save a little time. I'm mainly posting this because I haven't been able to do much. If someone once to take these ideas and make the run themselves I won't be upset since I don't have as much enthusiasm for the run as I though I would. I my test run of mission 1, I was up 20 frames on the 1st enemy group and another 15 for the 2nd, so there is definately room for improvement overall.

Well, my run was done using Famtasia(Not good tool). I know I could improve it but I was thinking doing it later. Well, if you beat me, count on me that I will beat you ;)

Well naturally my run would be unbeatable ;) But seriously, I may not even do it now. My plan was to finsih my rough run through of DW4, take a break from that game to do this run. then do a final DW4 run. But I can't seem to get away from the game so I ive started the final version. I won't get this game at least until that is done. My post was to give someone else the opportunity to make it. If no one else does, I'll do it after my DW4 run (which might be awhile!)

I already thought about this one ...
