No.
Here's a ZIP folder with one save before you exploit the glitch (65535 HP Pokémon, all other fainted Pokémon except sixth) and another save where you have a Bad EGG with the hex:0400 glitch move (turn battles into doubles/Birch/wild) and all fainted Pokémon to send it out:
Even if you set it up so you have all fainted Pokémon and two Bad EGGs, regardless of whether they have health, the twins Anna and Meg west of Mauville City won't battle you, as if you only have one Pokémon. This possibly means Liza and Tate or doubles Steven wouldn't, either.
Marill is a great HM slave, as it can learn 5 of the 8 HM moves you get in the game: Surf, Strength, Waterfall, Rock Smash and Dive, and all of these are needed.
The item duplication on its own isn't terribly interesting given that it's already possible with Pokemon cloning but has the negative side effects of filling your boxes with Bad Eggs and possibly trapping you, but here's a critical thing: it seems like the farther you scroll, the later the corrupted addresses are (assuming that items are stored after Pokemon data as in Gen I). This theoretically means that if you scrolled for a while just right, would it be possible to switch your current location to the Hall of Fame and cause a glitch warp as in the RBY movies?
TheZZAZZGlitch checked the addresses the scrolling can affect, and although they are not constant, they can affect: Pokemon boxes, Daycare, Secret base decorations (can give glitch decorations, Items in bag (duplication, item mutation?), Boxed items. However, it's possible a glitch move could do that, since it's common to find glitch moves that change the Battle system.
Yes. As far as the game is concerned it IS that pokemon. (I don't know if it's the hatching that makes it get recorded in the pokedex or not, if that's what you mean.)
