It was a really tense game. Really even, and could've gone either way (or to penalties) until the goal in the 113th minute. The goal itself was great too. Great pass by Schürrle, excellently handled by Götze. I loved Schweinsteiger's persistence. He went down so many times, but always got back up until the end. Absolutely refused to give up.

Spent the night out watching the match from a sports bar. So god-damned exciting. My heart sank with Higuain put the ball in the back of the German net, but the subsequent offside call was cheered for as if Germany had scored. Friggin' amazing match. Argentina fought a good fight. Commiserations to them. DEUTSCHLAND!!! DEUTSCHLAND!!! DEUTSCHLAND!!!
