Can anyone tell me how this differs from "Heavy Glitch Abuse?" Or is it just a renaming of that category?

I will try and explain with Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer. [1523] PSX Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! "14 talismans" by lapogne36 in 28:11.70 - Heavy glitch abuse [2603] PSX Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! by lapogne36 & Crash41596 in 07:32.47 - Major skip glitch + Heavy glitch abuse For Spyro 2 What you need is to obtain the Talismans with in level glitches and then you warp in front of the boss' door. For the Major Skip you can just OOB into the boss' fight. Note: I wrote I'll try to explain.

Doesn't that mean that "Major Skip Glitch" is pretty much a subset of "Heavy Glitch Abuse"? In which case isn't it redundant to tag movies with both?

My position exactly. Never seen a low glitch/glitchless run skipping to the end.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

According to the Wiki: MovieClassGuidelines, the tag applies when a "significant" glitch is used in a movie. This can apply to runs with no major skips but heavy abuse of one glitch (GBC SpongeBob), no major skips but abuse of several notable glitches (Titenic), or abuse of a heavy glitch like a major skip glitch (Ikachan). Most of our runs that abuse glitches are one of the first two types, meaning runs of the third type are notable. The point of the "Major skip glitch" tag is to differentiate these runs from all of the others.

But the Rayman 3 isn't supposed to have both categories? I has just one.

Looks like that was a mistake by the publisher. It's fixed now.
