I may have a video up tomorrow but for now I'll just explain whats happening.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAuSAVjyMek&t=1h22m8s This is the part I am at(The cutscene).. so I'm so close to finishing but there's one problem. Dolphin seems to just give up after the cutscene, FPS goes to 0 and I waited 60k frames to see if anything changes.. still nothing.. I have no idea what to do.. Dolphin version is too long ago to use a newer revision (Im using 4.0.2-avsync).. So ya....

1. Does this happen in the latest revision? 2. How hex-friendly is this game? I know loading times between places would be different, but if there's not too much randomness, maybe you could try splicing the input to a revision that doesn't have this glitch.

It's most likely fixed along with other issues in the latest revision. Loading Times are different between the two versions so sadly splicing just leaves me at the very beginning again. Anyways haha.. if someone is willing to look into this issue. Im using Dolphin 4.0.2-avsync. How about TAS certain parts manually and splice the ones that are straightforward?

I think any change made would affect Every enemies positions, and my own positions. Ill just write this off as a learning experience and if i come back to it, ill use the latet and theres a lot of early fixes i would change.

I've had this issue where Dolphin's VI count stays while the framecount goes up. I had this happen in my old Thousand-Year Door TAS. What I did to fix the problem was to waste a frame beforehand. I really hope that works for you!

I've tried pressing skip at the beginning of the cutscene and after the cutscene. ill try to do some other ways like waiting longer before climbing up the hourglass but we'll see. edit: waiting longer doesnt help, still cant process the iso/game past that cutscene. Link to video Here's the video up until that point! Lots of mistakes made earlier on, as I didnt have Asco to help me out in the beginning! Huge Thanks to him for reviewing every 30 seconds of work I did each time :)

I'm not sure if this bug is fixed the latter revisions, and how desync prone NPCs are, but there seems to be a DTM editor now. At the very least, that means you can look at how long each section took somewhat easier if you ever redo it on a new revision, even if it doesn't sync.

It's not that good as you think, you need to find the VI yourself, which is just bitch and Scepheo said he litteraly can't make this automatically <.<

Back from the dead(rawr!! more of a siesta I guess), I may be giving this another go. Asco has found tons of new glitches, so I will be testing those out to see if gamecube allows us to do it. if the zips work, I will test the entire game and then TAS it, obviously using the newest dolphin.

Learned that one the hard way haha. Yeah First Step: See if zipping works. If they do, play game normally(terribly) and make sure i can complete it. Third Step: Profit.

Dolphin rc 5.0 is pretty broken using TAS it seems. Frame Advance is really messy. As holding down your hotkey doesn't toggle off frame advancing (like it does in Bizhawk). As well as save states crashing Dolphin when you are holding down controls and changing save states (inconvenience for TASers). I will continue to wait until either they fix some of these features, we will see.

And don't forget memory leak. That's why I sticked to older version. Dolphin became shit TAS wise (but not performance wise where they did a great job!) now :(
