I was playing The Lion King in both emulators and I noticed something strange. In the 1st level, the lag count increases "continually" on lsnes, but rarely on Bizhawk. After a few minutes, the difference is almost 1000. I wonder if this is normal, because they use the same bsnes compatibility core. In other games, this difference is very small, but lsnes seems to be laggier over time. Bizhawk 1.8.2 Lsnes rr1 and rr2

Check if you're using the compatibility core in BizHawk and not the performance core.

Consider the possibility that one (or both) of the cores has a bug in its lag frame counter. Check to see if input given on a lagged frame actually registers to the game; if it does, you've found a false positive.

The lag counter in lsnes does not work right. The lag emulation is nontheless the same as in BizHawk.

I was indeed using the compatibility core.

You are right, all those lag frames were false positives.

But, when I import a lsnes movie with Bizhawk, the new one usually desyncs. So, there must be something else happening, not just false positives. EDIT: reported a bug.

Sync compatiblity between BizHawk 2.0 and lsnes should be a lot more similar
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects
