That was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be; glad that not knowing the dialogue doesn't make it less fun. :D While watching, sometimes the partner does this odd slower jump (the jump when you leave ms. mowz room being an example). What was that?

Holy crap, I didn't notice that. That is amazing. It goes to show how many little things make this so entertaining xD

I did not maybe follow the discussion but you cannot skip Koops in the Japanese version?

Skipping koops can't be done due to a key skip that requires Flurry behaves differently in (J) compared to (U). At the same time, this change allows early ultra hammer to be done, which skips Ms. Mowz, so the (J) is used instead.

Can you explain to me why Ms. Mowz is skipped now? What does ultra hammer have to do with it? Sorry for not really contributing to the discussion but I am curious

If you know the 'fish glitch' that lets you jump around between chapters using Ms. Mows - those blocks can be broken by the Ultra Hammer.

What Patashu said :P Ultra Hammer early serves only as a way to skip Super Hammer in chapter 3 and Ms. Mowz.

I'm not done, but I'm really loving the movie so far. Also, any reason koops does that really long jump around 15:19 in the YouTube encode?

I know this probably is a bit too late, but a way better form of bounding box emulation was merged into Dolphin a day or two ago. It notably affects the Paper Mario Wii and GC games. It should just be graphical issues in Thousand Year Door (if any remained), but it was known to cause a crash in the Wii game with the old emulation.

sack_bot, that's what jlun2 pointed out a while ago. I have no clue why haha JMC47, I'll try, but there's a good chance that my run won't sync on this much more recent version of Dolphin. EDIT: The dtm won't even play on the newer version of Dolphin. I guess the dtm format changed or something. I'll try to find the exact version with the fix integrated into it and see if that works.

If it doesn't work, don't worry about it. I was hoping it'd be merged before all of your TAS work started, but there were a few delays with the pull request and a few things that had to be researched and checked. I just hope the old bounding box emulation doesn't cause you any heartaches.

Huh? It has never changed in a way that would make it not run.

Movie playback stops immediately after I try to start it. It works on 4.0.2 but not the newer revisions with the fix. I don't know what other information to give. It's using the same ROM file, same control configurations...

Well, you can post the dtm (or another dtm made from that revision) for others to debug.

I wish people wouldn't use Twitter for things like this. The signal-to-noise ratio is just so high.

I got a thought: From your twitter, this was posted: http://pastebin.com/MPkDbsW3 Is it possible to use Goombella buffer, then walk around the area needing Yoshi? The back area seems potentially walkable.

From reading the pastebin, I'm pretty sure this is what the Yoshi skip would entail: http://i.imgur.com/ZQ10Tgh.png I don't see anything walkable there.

Either an invisble block, or that minor wall you circled may be walkable OoB. Needs checking though.

I believe the loading zone to the right is surrounded entirely by solid walls. I'll still try though. I've tried to speed swap across it but it's not close enough. I can try some ideas though because I do think there's a chance it's possible. It would save so much time. But if it's possible, I have to think of a new route because I have extra fright masks. I could use them in place of the thunder bolts though (I think I can). I'll find a way to make it work haha Thankfully, RachelB showed me what was wrong with the dtm transferring it over to a newer revision. So when I get home from school I'll try it out to see if it syncs :D EDIT: It desyncs right away because of loading times. :(

Care to elaborate on any ideas you have Malleo? I'd be very interested to hear them :) Also, I have an idea of my own it would be nice if you could test: doing a speed swap jump to the very bottom right of the platform we're trying to reach, and having it eject you up a few pixels. Like how you jump on padlocks basically. Maybe it could work... Good luck on the Jabbi fights as well.
