As an American, "found out" can be used as a synonym of "figure out." I'm not sure if it's the same way in Britain or just a colloquialism, though (Apologies for being off topic) I'd love to see a tutorial on finding RNG addresses as well, it's been something I've found difficult for some reason

Another note: you don't need to figure out the whole formula, if you just see the general point of it: some RNGs are not manipulatable, global timer dependent, some are so complicated you can only rely on testing, and there's no point in replicating the formula in lua and foretelling the values, but sometimes you really can make benefit of replicating it to see the predicted values.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

"Find" translates to "feststellen" (figuring out). You can actually find the RNG, its location in RAM/ROM.

The programmers need to put the RNG somewhere into the ROM, of course. It's located at whatever lines of code. When the game runs, the RNG is in RAM. If you don't trust Google Translate, you can look up other translation sites too, there's still no difference at all.

My statement with "finding RNG" still stands and it's semantically correct. When you reverse-engineer a RNG, you'll also find its location in RAM, therefore the algorithm. You actually got confused because you didn't realised Solarplex was talking about the algorithm (RNG). For me his statement is obvious from the context, even his could be better for people who think RNG means random value.

Yes. Also mentioning some background information, like what's the point of TASing, where it came from, what are the objectives. People even have difficulties how to set up the emulator, so we should cover that too.

Emulator specific techniques, differences and features, maybe. To help people who are proficient with one emulator move their skills onto another given that some are very similar and others are drastically different.

Aegisub is a bit fiddly at times when it comes to text and video resolution. If you post your subtitle file (or a similar one) and the video resolution, I can try to make it work. Unless, of course, you figured it out already.

Haven't figured out already. The resolution is 1281x946, I don't have a subtitle file yet. Creating a dummy video with that resolution makes it work.

Odd. Theoretically if it works for a dummy video at that resolution, it should work for every video. Have you messed with text styles (Subtitle > Styles Manager)? I'm guessing yes, but suggesting it is worth a shot just in case. I remember having similar problems and I'm pretty sure that's what worked for me.

I couldn't messed up anything, since I instatlled the program yersterday. The problem seemed to be the video codec, I used CamStudio for screen capture.
