I just got 216 at 100% speed with no save states. Edit: I didn't record the 216 run, but I just did a 210 run and recorded that, so here's the fcm: http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3LPKN7P2SV45B35TF8UM1A1HPJ

so what's the deal here? Has there been any progress on fixing/getting around the desyncs?

I would assume that's a "no"...

I can't download movies from genisto.servehttp.com Message as following... Network Error (tcp_error) A communication error occurred: "Connection refused" The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. For assistance, contact your network support team. I think convert the movie to famtasia format may help...I don't sure

I can't wait that long. There has been years since the last new movie.

In that case, you'll probably have to make the AVI yourself.

I'm going to mirror the latest FCM since I can't connect to the site either. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/60/SMB3-World_3_completed.fcm (That link isn't the FCM itself. Click it to get the real download URL.)

That file seems to be only up to the end of the world 2 dungeon.

It reaches the airship at the end of world 3 for me (and then does the "dies, then uses a star in a pipe and lets the timer expire" desync).

Thanks for the mirror dehacked. Strangely enough, it now desyncs for me in world 2 (fails to grab the shell in the sand level that he uses to kill the sun) The previous played-through-world-2 movie file (that bisqwit mirroed) did not desync for me at this point though...... weird

I played it back through without touching turbo and it was fine. I was bummed he didn't keep the frogsuit for the airship though.

It appears there's a demand for it. http://dehacked.2y.net/BT/torrents/supermariobros3-glitchfest_wip-to_world3_airship-genisto.torrent About 50 MB large. Includes airship desync. :(

now that BitComet has been fixed in the 0.59 version, you could unban it from your tracker, like Bisqwit did from his... I guess you wanted to ban the previous versions, but isn't there a way to detect and ban only the "bad" versions ? but, it's your tracker, so you do whatever you want with it ^^

Nope. Bitcomet stays dead. There are other "features" in it which are too stupid for me to risk letting bitcomet becoming the predominant client.

Waiting anxiously - 26% so far. TYTYTYTY to DeHackEd for encoding/hosting. EDIT: dying on the "pick a box" screen in world 2 just made my day. This gets a giant WTF?! from start to finish, beautiful stuff. Can't wait to see what else he's got in mind... RE-EDIT: alright, having finally watched the end of it, I spent all of world 3 screaming things at my computer screen from the basic NO to comples obscenities, usually involving various allegations as to the heritage and sexual habits of the author....This is probably the single most entertaining video I've encountered yet, and I waste a LOT of time on superplay vids >.> Great stuff.
YtterbiJum, on SMB3: I've tried 20+ times and it always desyncs there. Unless, of course, Genisto meant to die, use a star on the map screen, go in a pipe, and jump around till time runs out.
