In this TAS I perform several glitches such as... the orb, the dragon coin skip, 6/5, 1/1, powerup increment, etc. I will go to Yoshi's Island 2 first in order to get big mario so I can next go to Yoshi's Island 1 to obtain the orb. Then I proceed with yoshi to the switch palace. Then I will go through the normal Any% route but keep going and get to special world and play 2 levels of that and finally beat bowser.
Powerup Increment Glitch:
The powerup increment glitch lets me add to mario's "powerup" status. If you add over what mario can normally get you will get some crazy effects such as when I turn red in Yoshi's Island 3.
Orb Glitch:
The orb is a glitch which is a form of the item swap glitch which gives you the orb from the Sunken Ghost Ship level. It will skip any level when touched. (It skips the level you are currently in.) I use this item in Iggy's Castle to skip the cutscene after you kill Iggy.

Nach: The goals in this TAS are a bit random. The play is also sloppy. Please consider discussing your new TAS ideas on the forum, and seeing how well they go over, and allow the community to fine tune them. Rejecting.

Why do you beat 2 levels of the special world? Edit: Branch changed to Playaround.

I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get SNES9x 1.53, and Bizhawk 1.9.1 is unsurprisingly indignant when I try to get it to run a SNES9x movie. I'm curious as to why "yellow switch palace" is a meaningful goal, but I'ma wait for an encode.

The reason I beat two levels of special world well... It was kinda for fun because first of all, people don't do that, second of all, I wanted to show off the dragon coin skip. Also, Masterjun, would you like to do a SMW TAS with me?

It sounds like this is a "playaround." Not that there's anything wrong with that, some of my favorite TASes are playarounds.

The start of this run reminds me of an RTA but this is apparently a playaround TAS. I vote No because not only is this run very sloppy in a lot of places, it also doesn't entertain really well, as a lot of glitches are not even used.

Sure, if you have a good idea about a branch then why not?

We could do a glitchfest with the arbitrary code execution glitch at the end. If you have other ideas then I would be happy to hear them! Thanks!

How's it going, puppy610? Welcome to the tasvideos community :) I don't intend to kill your enthusiasm, but as a newcomer it's best to post your run ideas in their respective forums before submitting them to the workbench (especially with a game like Super Mario World). That way, more experienced guys can critique your work and help improve and shape it up for a better submission, down the road. Masterjun, especially, can get you up to speed if you're willing to learn. See you around!

At this point I would like to mention that a full glitchathon of Super Mario World would be absolutely glorious.

Have many good ideas and some interesting glitches but is almost the common run and is possible to put more things than this... voted meh. We wish good luck to you in your next time.

http://tasvideos.org/1801S.html Granted, there have been a lot of new glitches found since then, but I'm fairly sure most are in other runs, especially the Kaizo hacks, so the same logic holds.
