I always wondered when is going to be a published run of a SM64 hack. I would love to see one sooo much.
I think the only one that actually (I think) deserves to stay in here is Super Mario Star Road.

Super Mario Star Road is amazingly polished and really stands up well next to the original. I think Super Mario 74 would also make a good TAS.

Link to video I think a TAS of this game would be very odd, given what you could corrupt with luck manipulation

While Chaos Edition would be a LOT of fun, it crashes the Emulator.

I tested the game, fun as hell, also it works on bizhawk, but an optimal TAS would be very hard lol

Is there a particular reason it does? Modifing the rom in play? Uses an outside program?

All Chaos Edition does is pseudo-randomly apply/remove Gameshark codes within the game itself. It's based on input (from my testing, at least) so emulator and game crashes can be manipulated away pretty easily.

SM74EE is total 3D Platform Hell. Getting all 151 stars without TASing can be a nightmare. A full fledged Sonic-themed hack should be made. Even a ginormous hack with over 30 areas and 170 stars. Even better, a hack with over 200+ stars. I'm talking about SMSR2.

In Star Road, If we can glitch our way to the top of the tower and enter the pipe and do a death warp, we can skip two Bowser courses to beat the game a lot quicker.

For romhacks, you want to show off the romhack, not show glitches that are essentially the same as an already published run.

Some fun with a dual-Bowser grab glitch from MP V1.3, now that 2P grabbing is patched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1nR16crblU It would basically save a throw over regular SM64.

So what happens if you do the double-grab on the second time as well?

For the red coins, couldn't you get the BLJ to last for longer, like done in the 70 and 120 star TASes?
