I will work on making verification movie on mupen (which unlocks Drumstick, TT and Adventure 2) next week if no one is working on it now. I'm back to real time speedrun recently so it doesn't take long I guess.

bizhawk's audio is really glitchy and emu slows down randomly. I prefer mupen.

I have absolutely no clue if someone wants to do ng+ tas but I made verification movie. This movie unlocked both Drumstick and TT. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/20776651340613891

Thank you so much for making that file, 0x! One small step towards a DKR TAS..

small TAS, I jump off cliff at the end to skip the small cutscene. This loses race time, but saves real time. Link to video

Meanwhile at Darkmoon Caverns: http://www.twitch.tv/mrsgizamaluke/v/17825166 (Don't know if we have done this in our TAS or have knowledge about it, but just passing it on.)

Could this also work in Walrus Cove?

When working on the TAS a few months ago we came up with a route http://pastebin.com/U3Z3jfGA hopefully this will stop anyone trying to come up with silly routes that don't make much sense as seen earlier in the thread. The icicle pyramid section would look like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yrw8-1IPYCw if you've seen any 100% RTA runs, you'll notice they lose the minigame to get the trophy. This is roughly 30 seconds faster than winning the fastest race in Snowflake Mountain (snowball valley) Also after looking into tapping the A button specifically in car, we found its faster to hold A until a certain velocity, then tap every other frame until a certain velocity, etc. Until you are tapping A every 4th frame. So using that we created this slightly unoptimized TAS Dino 1 TAS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8KhZdVfcJE

Looking forward to a 100% run TAS or a newer TAS of this game.

100% TASes of 2 Player Adventure is barely faster than 1 Player. Player 2 goes for the key if available. Fire Mountain shoot Player 2 over Player 1's nest to drop an egg. Dark Water Beach and Icicle Pyramid Players team up then kill each other at the end. Smokey Castle Player 2 shoots and Player 1 shoots Player 2 so that Player 1 can get 10 bananas quicker. Racing Taj on multiplayer causes other players to disappear until you go to another area.

Are you using a Lua script in Bizhawk to do this? If it is always based on velocity you could watch that memory address and change your tapping speed based on that. Would actually make this game fun to TAS.

Yes I used a Lua script to automatically tap the A button for me

You can upload that here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/ to aid future possible TASers.

Wow! Nice thinking, I'll be sure to include this in the 100% route I'm writing

I wonder if you select restart race right after crossing the finish line in Star City so you begin the Silver Coin Challenge on that race without needing the T.T. Stomp or getting 46 balloons to enter. The glitch in Hot Top Volcano is useful for trophy race. I'm not sure doing that glitch to get to Jungle Falls during the Trophy Race is faster, I'm unsure. 100% route: Balloon near Snowflake Mountain, Balloon near Sherbet Island, Wizpig, reset, enter code JOINTVENTURE for 2 players, Balloon near Dino Domain, Key in Ancient Lake, Tricky, Fire Mountain, Trophy Race, Trophy Race for Glitch, Taj, Snowball Valley for Trophy, Key in Snowball Valley, Bluey, Icicle Pyramid, Taj, Trophy Race for Glitch, Taj, Balloon near Dragon Forest, Whale Bay for Trophy, Key in Crescent Island, Bubbler, Darkwater Beach, Trophy Race for Glitch, Haunted Woods for Trophy, Key in Boulder Canyon, Smokey, Smokey Castle, Trophy Race for Glitch, Spacedust Alley for Trophy, Wizipg, ending. Unlocking Drumstick and T.T. are not necessary for 100% completion, but to race as them, play from predefined save.

100% is already routed well enough. I don't know where you got that route from, since it's outdated and suboptimal. If you're interested to see how the current route looks like, I suggest watching some of the more recent RTA runs. The TAS will probably not change too many things about that route.
