TASing-wise, I've a got a few Genesis projects that I'd like to eventually finish -- all runs which have yet to have a published run made on the site (Haunting & Beyond Oasis). If I get those crossed off, then I might add one more solo project onto the 2016 agenda (or some group work!).
Life wise, I'd like to research the Bible more, get some landscaping and construction projects done around the house, as well as maintain a good level of health and fitness (especially since I've hit 30). ...perhaps I should jot these goals down into my notebook, in order to record and progressively reach them?
All in all, looking forward to 2016!

Life:
- Focus more on studying environmental protection and sustainable development
- Find a fulfilling job with conditions almost as good as my current one's (this is probably the hardest one)
- Start practicing sports on a regular basis again (sports implying boards, hopefully)
- Travel around the world (this is almost planned already, anyway)
- Visit this forum and IRC only once per week, if at all, to have more time to honor my previous resolutions
Video games:
- Play several of the best NES, SNES, PSX, N64 and GameCube games once and for all
- Play Fallout 4 only from time to time
- Muster courage to get back to speedrunning in 2017
- Muster courage to become a good TASer in 2017

You probably thought that I wrote that in jest. I was, however, being 100% serious.
When I wrote that, I weighed 104 kg (229 lbs). Today I weigh 82 kg (181 lbs). I can't comment on how much of a "hunk" I might be, but I'm happy to have become healthier, and that, for once, I was able to keep such a cliché new year's resolution.

At some points throughout the last year, it looked like I was going to accomplish some of those real life resolutions. But as you might be aware bad things happened to me, I suffered losses and met with a lot of disagreement. I can't put all the blame on myself when I wonder why I haven't accomplished them.
At least I'm now able to listen to music on my phone on the go through headphones, and I have done so many, many times. It's really nice.
My mother gave me a book about cooking on Christmas; maybe it will help me be more open about learning how to cook new meals.
As for games, I did acquire a 3DS and Kirby Triple Star, but haven't opened the boxes yet... I just think I will do it sometime later, it's not running away, but I think it's a bad attitude of mine to buy something and then leave it in the corner for so long. I should do something about it.
I have made really exceptional progress on my luascript and I'm happy how far I've gotten with it. I look forward to making a youtube video about it, to raise awareness that it exists and to get people to start using it.
TAS-wise I did a run here and there, but nothing too big I guess. Kirby 100% and Mario & Luigi will have to wait. The latter, I did start but now I want to take a break from it.
Looking forward at 2017:
Try to clean up my room; I mean the parts that are in dire need of cleaning. I should get to this during January or so.
Don't give in to people that aren't willing to listen to me or willing to understand my situation. (I'm talking about certain people in my real life, not the internet.)
Get the driver's license. By 2018 or later, I can start thinking about driving to a fitness club or other places. Become independent; It's ok if my mom still wants to cook for me, but I will have to get her to stop eventually.
Learn to cook a few new meals. At least try it for a while.
Visit a club (ping pong, badminton, or other sport); alternatively, get a part-time job, at my local mart or somewhere.
Play that 3DS Kirby.
Finish a TAS or two.
Don't hate or blame yourself if things go unexpected.
Lately I have been lying to myself a lot. This is something that is hard to avoid, as I'd rather tell myself everything is alright rather than face the uncertainity of where we live in.. This is hard to get rid of, but something I want to deal with.
In terms of more concrete goals, my main goal is currently to get away from my family. The divide in my family has gotten very strong up to the point where's it's me and my mom versus my uncle and my grandmother, who is enabling him. A lot of problems spew from that, the most notable one being that I cannot sleep until very late (2AM sometimes) if my uncle decides to watch TV because I have no bedroom, and there's nothing I can do about it. My conditions are also not great for studying. My mom tells me to sink it all into studying while she's trying to find an apartement for us both. But housing prices are fucked up..
Finally, the last thing I want to do is get back to something that really passionates me: playing piano. If I dealt with less bullshit in this life and really got to something that I love (I wonder why it seems impossible..) I would just play piano. I have done four years, but stopped when I went to college and never had the opportunity to get a teacher again for five years now.
