Submission Text Full Submission Page
My first TAS. This game is Super Mario World on the SNES. Cloud Glitch

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Bizhawk 1.11.1
  • Beat the game as quick as possible
  • Use Cloud

Comments

Welcome to my first TAS. I am not doing everything frame perfect, but its a normal 11 exit run. I use the cloud, but I don't think I used it correctly.

Other comments

This is a basic 11 exit speedrun(any% with cloud.)

I sometimes run into walls and I don't think I used the cloud correctly.

Fog: Judging...
Fog: Actually, I'm going to cancel this submission as it's clearly not faster than any previous submission and states that it's not optimized at all.

Everything... must be... perfect! "any% cloud" = "warps"? Edit: no, it's not.

Sorry, but there is already a TAS from this game, which is near 3 minutes faster. http://tasvideos.org/536M.html Its your first try, maybe not bad for that (I have not watch this run). But when there is already a faster one, then there is no need for a slower TAS. This site only have the fastest TAS's for every possible category or game. You say yourself, you don't be Frame Perfect. But TAS means you can do it frame perfect, when you know how to use an emulator. Also you say its a normal 11 exit run. Normal? TAS should be better then normal. With the correct use of all tools which the emulator can give you. I hope you understand what I try to say. My english is bad. But this TAS is not useable for this site, I would not even watch it, because its slower then an already existing run. Try to be frame perfect and learn more from the TAS's, which already exist. Its always nice to see new people who try to TAS games. But not submit TAS's which are slower from existing TAS's.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/ Use Userfiles for movies like these. Never submit anything unless it's frame perfect and it beats all existing records. For example, you have to beat a time of roughly... 42 seconds for a new run in this category to be published.

Additionally, if memory serves, the glitch that allows access to the item-box cloud is usually disallowed in any% runs here because it's an "arbitrary code execution" exploit, and if you're going to do that you may as well just jump to the credits, as [2926] SNES Super Mario World "game end glitch" by BrunoVisnadi, Amaraticando, Masterjun in 00:41.81 does. For an exception to be made, it would help for your movie to show something different from the currently published any% warps run while still beating all known records for the "any% cloud" category.

Still slower than the slowest, but here's your input lightly Spiked: User movie #30044308205412210 That was 4915 frames (01:21.78) of blank input. Now it can be humiliated less. World Record for Cloud block is a 9:47.58. Higher is better.
