This movie improves the first rat on the second stage by passing over the camera borders with enough momentum on the 2nd player to "flow" through it instead of bumping it. This saves 15 frames.
No other places seems to be improvable (rat spawns are timered and game end glitch routine requires BUDR, AR and enough (3) input reset (ABSTUDLR which allows us to input two other inputs).
For more detailed informations, take look at at the previously submitted movie submission text
Feos added as co-author since I've used his lua scripts to optimize movements and check a few other thousands of possible game end glitch tests.

GoddessMaria: Judging.
GoddessMaria: Excellent work on improving what was considered to be pretty tight already! Audience reaction was positive and entertainment value was high as well!
Accepting as an improvement to the published movie.

Well, this is certainly very well done in technical aspects, but it wasn’t entertaining at all. No vote, sorry.

TASing at this moment crossed the border between the funny silly entertaining movies and possible technically in words or game limit. Not for this game only. Look at Kirby or Mario 3. What's next? Yes. This movie not so "Haha. Wow. Toads flying across screen and killed Rat with one punch!!!" but it still "Yeah. Author is real master or something freak(?)".

I did try to improve it when I first saw the wip, using the knowledge I gained from 1p warpless (running speed can be increased by tapping vertical direction), but I quite expectedly couldn't. As for my contribution, it's probably not just the script, but the entire R&D thing regarding this game, but it was originally MESHUGGAH's idea to add me in the current movie, not my request. But I obviously support the decision wholeheartedly.

I always hoped that legendary farewell letter about "I won't be a part of this cancerous misery" was just temporary insanity. Welcome back MESHUGGAH! Our hospice is always glad you :)
I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Current projects: NES: Tetris "fastest 999999" (improvement, with r57shell) Genesis: Adventures of Batman & Robin (with Truncated); Pocahontas; Comix Zone (improvement); Mickey Mania (improvement); RoboCop versus The Terminator (improvement); Gargoyles (with feos)

On topic, this battletoads improvement made weeks before this. Off topic, but I still won't be part of that cancerous misery we all know what I'm reffering to. But you can count on me exploiting the shit out of Half-Life 1 demos.

I don't think problems with doom and no interest in fixing them makes the entire site cancerous. Probably the greatest doom problem is having to rely on internal format instead of having a stable rerecording emulator that runs the game and records its own movies in a reliable fashion. Once that exists, serious efforts can be made to actually improve the existing internal demos, proving them suboptimal in a productive way, and if you wish, proving them unreliable (if they are), also in a productive way.

It looks like the Battletoads fail so hard that entire causality collapses, and then they win. I think the run is amusing in its brevity and obvious glitchiness, so a 'yes' vote from me.

I lol'ed at the last text. The dark queen was no match for the glitchness and retreated in shame.

The movie page has outdated description. The improvement is "killing the second rat while the yellow toad jumps forward without bumping in to the camera borders".

This movie was flagged as console verified, but there doesn't seem to be a video attached, so I'm removing the flag. If a video exists or a new one is made, please post it in this thread and the flag will be re-added.
