Tricks

Movement
X and Y speed are independent to each other. The values go from -20 to 19 u/f.
Lag
is usually compensated, all objects double their movement when a lag frame occured, but sometimes it fails.
The lag is inconsistend and copying inputs might not work.

Samsara: Judging.
Samsara: Accepting as an improvement to the published run. Upgrading to Moons due to good audience feedback. It's been downgraded back to Vault due to poor ratings.
Spikestuff: Publishing.

Incredible run, and a great example of how good a TAS with a 'cursor' can be when detailed attention is paid to movement (favorite were the bounce parts with gravity switching.) Yes vote.

It was wonderful optimization.
Operation related to TAS of N64/GC/Wii/PS2 emulator is often investigated.

Given how repetitive of a game this is, I wasn't expecting that much entertainment, especially based on the previous run. However, your style choices of how to move the rod were superb. Like xy2, I really like the parts which make the rod behave like a bouncing or rolling ball. Great use of entertainment in places that don't cost you any time. I'm still not sure the game has quite enough going for it to earn my Yes vote, but I'll give you a good Meh.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. ultra! don't know if this should be vaulted or moon'ed
TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Cool run. Out of curiousity, how did you make such smooth looking movements? Did you just edit by hand until it looked right, or did you have a script or other tool to help you out?

I used macros and tastudio. The bounce is simply a derived parabola, first frame max speed, then decrease each frame until collision. The circling is a sine in y directing and a cosine in x direction, to make a spiral simply add a constant to either x or y or both. Hugging the wall is done by setting max speed to the priority direction and then increase deacrease the other direction, works for moving walls as well.

edited to reflect my opinion Breasts as stage hazards? Well then. It's not possible to escape into any of those boxes (with the giant figures and the moving-edge segments) like the map might hint, is it? edit: caveat, watched provided encode

I remember this discipline from various Japanese tv shows that aired here in Germany ages ago... Sports Bakka, Takeshi's Castle, ... Why does Sports Bakka's original Japanese title and this game both have "Nan-chan no honō no charenja" in its name? I suppose the game stems from the tv show? Who is Nan-chan?

Teruyoshi Uchimura (Ucchan) and Kiyotaka Nanbara (Nanchan) are a duo of comedians who ran the show that you're describing, of which one of the featured games is the rod game. This video game is a video game version of the rod game. This is what the rod game looks like in the show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9rkGhfKmnU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiV-BM4Ge8U
