The RTA WR is on White 2 ( http://www.twitch.tv/sinstar20/c/2545915 ) but I don't know if it means anything for TAS or not
Also werster picked White 2 as well, having this to say:
"Black 2 vs White 2:
The difference between these games come from the layout of different areas. The first plasma first adds an extra battle for White 2, but the second one has two less battles in White 2. Reversal Mountain also has one less battle.
Time saved for White 2: 2 battles, ~2 minutes"
So unless there's something TAS/segmented only to exploit in Black 2 over White 2, White 2 is coming up as the winner.

I noticed an interesting in-game trade in this game. It's possible to trade a Emolga for a Gigalith on Route 7.
Gigalith has the same attack stat as Excadrill, the main battle Pokemon in Challenge Mode RTA. However, Gigalith's move pool is not as good as that of Excadrill, and Gigalith is one of the slowest Pokemons. What might make up for it is that this traded Gigalith is guaranteed to have 31 as attack IV and Adamant(+Atk -Spa) as nature. 20 as speed IV is not bad ether. Boosted exp might help a lot, and there is no need to worry about disobedience. It is possible to get a Quick Claw by catching either Sandshrew at Desert Resort or Zangoose at Route 7. It's probably a good idea to test whether using traded Gigalith is faster than using Excadrill.
Werster's new route consist of seed manipulation to force an Excadrill with IVs so high, he can skip the desert entirely. A TAS should be even better at manipulating things, as most of his lost time is either mitigating or dealing with bad luck, things that shouldn't be an issue in a TAS.
At the very least, that route would make a good starting point, and depending on how well we can RNG manipulate, perhaps run even riskier strategies if we can rely on good damage ranges and crits as much as we have in other published movies.
Unless we can find a TAS-only route, like abusing Guts like we did in 3rd gen, I think Excadrill is the way to go.
Three and a half years later, and it still doesn't seem like anyone started on one yet. I got the idea to try giving this a shot for some reason, but I don't think I'm familiar enough with the RNG to properly string things together.
My first idea for the general route was just copying the current RTA route and its RNG-modified Excadrill in combination with traditional TAS RNG manipulation, assuming it's possible to get a perfect one without needing to restart and modify the system clock like RTA.
For what it's worth, I discovered that it's possible to change the MAC Address that Desmume uses (Which has an impact on some of Gen V's RNG) by directly editing it in the executable (Searching for its default value "00 09 BF 12 34 56" in a hex editor and replacing it with any arbitrary value). I don't know the "legality" of such a change when it comes to a potential TASVideos submission, or if it would even matter in the grand scheme of a TAS, but I guess it's something to think about.
i believe you have control over hardware settings, like time and factory id of the console
TAS i'm interested:
Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS?
i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.
