a year and a half making this TAS
4000 rerecords

secret bonus B is a secret
secret bonus A is finishing with nitrous activated
secret bonus C is not crashing any opponent
secret bonus D is not crashing any obstacle
secret bonus E is not off the track

Samsara: Judging.
Samsara: There are noticeable issues with menuing all throughout the run and weird tradeoffs made for no particular reason. The game also appears to be trivial from what I've tested: Apart from going offroad or slamming into other cars/obstacles, nothing else you do seems to decrease your speed, making it easy to "optimize" each race by just steering occasionally. The upgrade "route" seems weird too, though I'm not sure if that's because said upgrades aren't able to be bought sooner or if it's actually just poor planning.
While there are some thoughtful steps taken to decrease the overall time, I.E intentionally disqualifying for secret bonuses, the other flaws are just too numerous to overlook. Rejecting.
Quick edit: If there IS anything to optimize, I doubt 4000 re-records are enough to have tested everything. For comparison: I used 1000 in my test file without even finishing the first lap of the first race.

People really need to learn how to end input: User movie #34264942243851572 Don't worry. You don't have to cancel. A judge will replace the file which also fixes your time.

It's not intuitive. I know from personal experience that it seems like the site wouldn't count any input after the last button press since it's all empty, but it's only when someone points it out that we learn otherwise. I see you mentioning this quite often; to the point that it seems worth putting a reminder on the submission page or in the submission guide. As for the movie, it could be entertaining if it only lasted 20 minutes, but at 2 hours I'm voting No. I have a whole slew of questions, though I'll limit it to three in case you update your submission text. They are all based on the first track, but it seems to apply for several of the others that I watched. 1. Why do you go out of your way to always get to the middle of the road? Especially for the turns it seems like it would be faster to start them on the inside of the road. 2. Why do you turn into the repair zone in the last couple of laps? It seems like a waste of time since you never drop below half health, or does a tiny course correction like that not lose any frames? 3. In the final lap why do you not use your boost earlier? Your max speed appears to be 301 km/h so any amount of time on the track spent going faster than that saves time, but you waste half of your boost time by finishing at 357 km/h.

I don't know exactly (not tested the game), but it seems like turns don't affect the speed. With that he can do zig-zagging when the road is straight without wasting any time. Otherwise, this TAS is improvable!
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

So... I looked at jmosx36's profile (http://tasvideos.org/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=7390) and am not sure how to explain how this submission came to be. It says he hasn't been online since February, and that he has no submissions. Is this the ghost of jmos completing all of his earthly business?

20 seconds into a 2 hour TAS and I'm already having serious doubts about the quality. Menuing is noticeably bad: Lots of autofire. Name entry isn't optimal, and I don't mean the fact that a name is entered at all, I mean about 30 frames are lost from not entering the letters as soon as possible. The speed is changed from MPH to KPH for what I can only assume to be "no reason whatsoever". For a TAS that reportedly took a year and a half to make, I'm not seeing a whole lot of effort here. I shouldn't be ready to reject this run before I've even seen the first race.

Clearly that 1.5 years of work didn't show in the final submission. Voting No.
effort on the first draft means less effort on any draft thereafter - some loser
