Oh yes, some improvements. This run improves the previous one by 132 frames.
It is highly recommended to read the submission text of the previous TAS to understand all the tricks used in this run.
Game objectives
  • Aims for the fastest speed
  • Manipulates luck (a little bit)

Comments
The movie improves these two levels: 50 M and 75 M.
In the previous movie, at frame 3798: sacrifice the next frame and then hold up+down = 2 frames saved, yay. Actually, not very impressive finding. Also at the end of this level (50 M) it is not necessary to climb all the way up as fast as possible to save those 2 frames because when the top of the level is reached, the game moves Donkey Kong to specific position first and after that the heart appears.
And finally we have... a shortcut. At level 75 M, surprisingly standing on the edge of the moving platform doesn't kill Jumpman when the ceiling is reached and... you know the rest. 130 frames saved.

Giving this a No because this game's boring.

Disables Comments and Ratings for the YouTube account. These colours are pretty neato, and also these.

Whoa, that level 75m shortcut is crazy. Does anything like that work in the NES game? Yes vote, because this is still way faster than Donkey Kong has any right to be.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

even though this game is (in my eyes) a complete ripoff of the original Donkey Kong game(s), there is an improvement so voted yes
