Seriously, at first I thought that it was a movie file for the Visual Boy Advanced, but that's a VMV file currently, soo, I'm curious as to how I can find out what emulator was used so that I can review these files. I had also noticed that they aren't exactly a strict text file either and after doing some digging, I discovered that they are some kind of backup file or something?
what the vape?

In case you didn't find it, you also will need to play the .vbm back in one of these versions of VBA. These are rerecording versions of Visual Boy Advance used for making and playing back TASes.
