Wow! I enjoyed the movie. I'm not skilled in dumping videos since there is no internal upscaler in lsnes, but I tried the best. I upscaled it in 3 times using Vegas Pro smart upscale effect and then it was upscaled again by YT to 1080p.
I decided not to record the last battle because it doesn't show the TAS work. I also have doubts about letting Kano (CPU) to beat the player. It looks nice, but not everyone will enjoy it since it's not acceptable for TAS rules.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

- I was expecting some... glitches? I only saw minimal anomalies with the fatality.
- Maybe morphing gives you more playaround worthy content (shang tsung)
- Reptile comes after doing double flawless and fatality on the bridge. Bridge is where you joined with Player 2.

i know he appears in those conditions but i gave up on summoning him after i did them and he didn't appear,so i tried something else. Also i did some testing with the throw timer glitch but i couldn't get the same results with codes and letters and it's a very long preparation to do it.
Just ignore anything with rayden and on.
Btw, my problem with encoding this remains, it keeps cutting off and i have many avis instead of one long coherent one

Also, i can't pick shang tsung right at the start, he's only glitchable and not very stable. I'll test him some other time.

On the snes version while in edurance mode, when the next player would pop out you would uppercut them and it would end the match, this only happened a few times for me

So do I. The emulator segments the video after each fight. Maybe there is a special lag that can't be bypassed while dumping or the emulator is set(-ted) by the developer to cut the video after each fight.

For future references regarding fastest Mortal Kombat 1 any% TAS:
- playing with shang tsung or goro requires a lot of time...

Now there's also interesting posts in this thread, regarding player 1 score in 1 player game and pressing start on the 2nd controller to pick Goro at 15500 score. I wonder does it works after the bonuses? So having more values to test....?

there probably is, but i'm commited to the SNES version all the way through and to pushing it further. IMO the best version would be the arcade ones, since they have lower gravity, but like i said, it's not my interest, i wanna work in this version only right now.

The lower gravity is only present in the earlier arcade versions. In the fixed versions, it's harder to pull off (only tried in real life without emulator) infinite combos.
edit: according to online informations, the fixed versions only apply it to the characters, so bosses still have low gravity

you can play as Goro, Shang Tsung and Reptile, but sadly the hack was done for the worst version of the game: US. This removes a lot of combos possible in EU, but Shang Tsung is quite fun and weird to play as!
Reptile is really hard to play as he's basically one character at a time and the stance switching between them isn't very convenient... Goro is OP, hands down the best in the game, maybe a little hard to control but worth it.
I'm not sure i'll ever play mk1 again after this lol, unless we get a european version of the hack.
