This game is from a horror movie of second zone, very little known! In this film, people are infected with bacteria after eating stale eggs, creating heavy gastrointestinal problems, which change humans into eggs ...
And you know what happens to a fertile egg!
For those who don’t know, it gives ketchup, full and with the leftovers, you can always make a burger, if you find the bread! Enough about cooking, I hope you're hungry!
Let's eat!

On the menu tonight:

  • Uses BizHawk 2.3.0
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Try to reduce lag
  • Uses glitches to save time
  • Force to play NTSC mode
  • Genre: Action/Platform
In this game you must rescue all prisoners to open the door and find the exit. There are 15 levels and 4 boss levels.

Tricks and glitches :

-Infinite flame (trick):

You can use this input series to use the infinite flamethrower (1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,...) , this can do create graphical bugs and crashes the game.

-Climb the ladder quickly (trick) :

You can catch the ladders more fast, only if the scrolling is advanced and if it's to use up direction. To go down the ladders, it's more fast to jump into them, it's possible to make a precise jump and enter into the ladder at the limit of the out and to can out directly when you fall, else you are obliged to continue to fall inside the ladder.

-You see me, you don’t see me (glitch) :

When you use the flamethrower at the extreme right or left and than the flame can reach the limit of screen, Ripley disappear because values of the hitbox past to 2, like you take damages but don't take really that damage, however the hitbox value is freeze at 2 on 2 different addresses. It's super, you are becoming invincible...
               ...but invisible!

The dark side of this glitch :

-You can't use elevators
-Ripley's hitbox have some problems to rescue prisoners or catching bullets and other objects, it possible to manipulate X position, but Y position as always as the same value than Ripley's potition.
- If you do this glitch at the extreme right (and conversely) of the screen, you can go out only at the extreme left because you are obliged to reappear to finish the level and you can only break this glitch, than if you repeating it on the opposite side where it was used. It's possible to change this.

Main qualities:

-You can téléport your hitbox's X position (I haven't find this second addresse of X position for the moment!) and rescue some prisoners more quickly, When you use the flamethrower with specific inputs on some frames (ex: 1,_,1,1,_,1,_,1,_,1,_,...(infinite flame)),you can even use it to touch the level ending trigger (must have rescue all prisoners).
-You can go from right to left (and conversely) of the screen, when you move more faster than the scrolling ( a slope can help, or catch an ladder can create a slight shift with the scrolling) In this movie, I use the ladder combined with this glitch and visit a secret room (abandoned, and there are plenty of them!).
Movie: - Becoming invisible, it help to reduce the lags of all Bosses animation dying.

feos: Fantastic movie! This game is way more fun than the NES version, and due to the glitchfest shown in this run, it's even more fun than the Genesis version! I'm considering starring this movie in the future. Audience enjoyed it too, accepting to Moons. And great submission notes!

I agree, but Genesis have the best graphics and your run is very nice and entertaining to watch. I didn't have time to do it yesterday and this week, I don't know if I will can do! But I promise you to explain all glitches tonight or tomorrow.

Before I even watch the movie, I want to congratulate you on an awesome submission description :-) One note though: if you're translating from French, "AT TABLE!" is not the best way to translate the idiom "A table". A better phrase is "Dinner time!" or "Let's eat!"
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

Holy shit that was hilarious Having played the game as a kid, was unable to kill the final boss, even when using all ammo available on it Also i remember at some point a boss not appearing, and having to die with a time-out to see it pop Amazing glitches i'm very curious about these

That's right and it's like that than you understand than the last boss's HP are glitched! You can only kill him on start platform with the flame thrower, else these HP restart at 0 after have reached 64 (at this value the boss RIP).

Well, I never knew this game had teleport inside tunnels, a stealth mode, and a flamethrower that changes our X position Õ_o I feel like the Genie in Aladdin right now "So dontcha sit there slack-jawed, buggy-eyed" 8D Sure Yes Vote from me \o\ EDIT (Oh, and very few people notice the title is Alien³ because the ³ means the alien is incubated, or maybe it's just in portuguese the ² is "square" and ³ is "cube"...) >_>

This game looks a bit repetitive, but I liked your action between stages. Voting Yes. Since I never played this game, an explanation about the tricks and glitches could be useful to understand this run a bit more.

I never knew there was an 8-bit port of this game. It seems like a quite decent port, I'd say. And great run! It was nice to see Ripley rescuing prisoners by flaming them at a distance.

When it's published, please go vote people, because I consider starring this.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Eh, I only felt this movie was "ok" rather than spectacular. The invisible glitch stuff was kinda neat but only kinda. The zip stuff was cool but there wasn't really much of it. Aside from the glitches, the gameplay wasn't anything special. Meh vote.
[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

I am agree with Memory, this is good movie but nothing really special to be beyond average moon territory. Actually parts with invisible glitch were not so interesting to watch because you can't clearly see player's actions... Meh vote.
I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Current projects: NES: Tetris "fastest 999999" (improvement, with r57shell) Genesis: Adventures of Batman & Robin (with Truncated); Pocahontas; Comix Zone (improvement); Mickey Mania (improvement); RoboCop versus The Terminator (improvement); Gargoyles (with feos)
