My computer had a bit of a hiccup, and the most recent save file I was working on threw this error after restarting: Is there a way to modify the Movie System header so that I can try to open it? -EDIT- The picture doesn't seem to be showing correctly. By save file do you mean sram or a saved movie file? If it’s the latter, When this happens to me I usually make a new bk2 file and just transfer the inputs from the old movie file into the new movie file using 7zip (including the header so rerecord count is contained).

Yah, it's a saved movie file (.tasproj). Could you elaborate on that process?

So what i do is open the corrupt tasproj with 7zip, then I make a new movie file (preferably a bk2) from the game I’m using, (no inputs needed). I then open that new movie file in 7zip. Then I transfer the inputs file (should be named “input log or something) from the corrupt tasproj and move it into the new bk2. You can also move the header file so rerecord count doesn’t go back to zero.

The process worked like a charm, thanks. Unfortunately, it looks like my progress wasn't even saved at all before it got corrupted. Guess I still have one and half fights to re-do.

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I still don't actually know how to use branches, so no :P My computer had symptoms of a dying hard drive (files taking forever to open, certain programs not opening or responding). I'm not overly surprised that the save file wasn't able to be updated.
