I was having interest on planning TASes involving games used on websites (like Red Ball, Wheely, and Snail Bob). While I found some games running Flash and using SWF files, some games require a mouse to play. The same goes for HTML5 which I have to use the mouse to play a web game, like Kizi (a number of online games ranging from Red Ball all the way to Wheely 8 or Snail Bob 8.
Planned runs: Marble Madness (Arcade, Genesis J, GG/SMS) Proposed: Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis, GG/SMS, CD: regular, camera freeze) Ecco: The Tides of Time (Genesis, GG/SMS, CD; normal mode) Mario Kart DS (all cups, all missions) In progress: Grand Poo World 3 (all exits hard mode)

Your only bet for Flash is running Ruffle in libTAS. Hourglass barely even supports Windows games, despite being made to run them in the first place.

Is there a way to run HTML5 games from a browser on Hourglass/libTAS? I tried to install Ruffle, but I can't install a tar.gz file. Should I choose Windows (exe/zip) or Linux file (tar.gz/zip) to start the application?

No Sadly, But Flash can use Ruffle and LibTAS 1.4.3 combo to TAS. HTML5 Most likely for Moderm Browser. There's no Browser Extension or JavaScript based as TAS.

I tried to start a game using
ruffle -g gl (game file).swf
(Snail Bob 1 and 3), I got that command that said
[2022-04-03T06:02:21Z ERROR ruffle_core::tag_utils] Error running definition tag: PlaceObject3, got failed to fill whole buffer
I waited for a minute, but nothing happened (the screen doesn't work). I heard that Ruffle updates the app once a day, I tried to update it using sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade, but it doesn't update Ruffle. Maybe I should try using Ruffle in Hourglass (does Hourglass have mouse support)?

Yes, that doesn't update it. sudo apt update only fetches the latest stable versions of packages from your package manager (apt)'s repositories; Ruffle hasn't had a stable release yet so it's not even in your package manager. To download the latest version of Ruffle, you'll have to go to the releases page on GitHub.

No, it doesn't. And you really shouldn't think of Hourglass as a viable option; last I heard it only worked in Windows XP! (and barely, at that!) Which is a 21-year-old operating system at this point. There's no chance in hell it would work and it's a better use of your time to use libTAS + Ruffle instead.

For TASing Flash games, well, there's already Red Ball TAS, we'll just wait for ruffle to make red ball fully playable from start to finish so we convert these inputs to libTAS then we'll wait for their permission for submission. Link to video
I was trying to open Red Ball using Ruffle, but these controls don't work yet and I'm stuck at the screen, how to update Ruffle? I was still thinking about Hourglass, as Ruffle works on x86 exe. I think it works on that emulator. I also tried Snail Bob and Snail Bob 3, but it results in a blank screen (I was using WSL2 build of Ruffle).
