Utsurun Desu - Kawauso Goes to Hawaii

  • Emulator: FCEUX 2.2.3
  • SHA1: 02D6311E7A7624FE21D223E99AE7ADC687A27E7C

Notes

Pressing L+R in this game serves a few purposes. When moving, this will let Kawauso continue to travel through walls or floors while also increasing the hex value at 007A. This is the RAM value used to count how long the player has been holding the attack button. If you release L+R while this value is at a value that is normally only reached mid-attack (such as 0A), you will have a constant active hurtbox. This resets every screen change. If you are mid-jump, L+R will scroll the screen, causing Kawauso to shoot to the left. This is useful to move quickly or at the beginning of some stages to despawn some enemies enemies.

RAM Values

  • 0083 - Player Y Position
  • 0085 - Player X Position
  • 0418 - Player health
  • 007A - Attack button hold timer
  • 051F - Boss health 1
  • 053F - Boss health 2
  • 057F - Boss health 3

nymx: Claiming for judging.

nymx: Replaced movie with a trimmed version, removing about 2148 frames.

nymx: Welcome to our community! What a good start you have made, with such an interesting glitchy TAS. You broke this game really hard and it was a pleasure to watch.

Yes this was a bizarre and broken looking tas. Really liked the strange glitches. Wish there were more author notes though. Yes vote.

Cactur_, remember...you don't have to leave blank input at the end of your file in order for the movie to continue. I trimmed it out, but just take note of that in the future. 2148 frames were cut, which made a huge dent in your time.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX
