Nah, I'mma veto that. We're gonna have to bring in feos as a tiebreaker, here. See, this is the real reason why we have three Admins.

I asked and DrD2k9, CasualPokePlayer, and ThunderAxe31 said I could join their team as the fourth member.

Yeah it's true, I'm signing up to join team 2 😎
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"

Hey y'all. There's still about one week left for signing up as individual entrants or teams for the Dream Team Contest. I definitely want to see more folks participate!

Asking for a clarification: Is MAME-rr the only core in BizHawk that supports the selected game (or any arcade game, for that matter)? The ability to use TAStudio would play a big role in my decision to join this one or not.

MAME-rr is a standalone fork of an ancient MAME version that adds barebones TASing support. It does not refer to the MAME core in BizHawk (which is a fork of a recent MAME version). As stated in the OP, the final TAS has to sync on the MAME core in BizHawk 2.9.1, so we can assume it does in fact work on MAME in BizHawk (if it doesn't, that'd be hilarious and embarrassing)

I can assure you that the selected game does work with TAStudio in BizHawk 2.9.1. I tested it to be sure so don't worry about that.

Confirmed.

I have been roped into joining a team by moozooh. Whatever team that includes this member, I accept. To anyone else on the team, I consider myself a retired TASer at this point. Make sure this museum piece stays in mint condition, someone else might want me for an exhibit. I can't guarantee much TASing effort, but I'll try to keep analysis and organization in top shape. And some scripting, perhaps.

All input files, whether complete or partial, will be submitted via the TASVideos private messages system
Unless it was implemented without me noticing (which is entirely possible), admins have access to private messages. Watching others' submissions could be done without it being possible to detect. Due to this, submissions have been done through email or Discord PMs in previous DTCs. I recommend changing the rule to submit via Discord PM or email instead.

As of the current site code, only the sender and the receiver of a message have access to a PM on the site. Additionally, those with direct DB access could theoretically access them, but this is generally an irrelevant consideration. DB level access is where password hashes and other trustworthy data lies, so a breach of trust on the DB level would have much bigger implications and consequences. (I'm not advocating for or against using PMs here, I'm just clarifying.)
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

the only thing staff members would actually have access to is all userfiles including those hidden, so you'd need to find a different way to store them.

Even on the old site, admins could not access private messages without direct database access. This has always been the case throughout the history of the site. Of course, one would expect site admins to not breach trust on sensitive data such as that, especially not on something as frivolous as cheating at a TASing competition with no real reward.

This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. Team 1 will henceforth be called This Cannot Continue, which will be incredibly ironic if the final run doesn't end up being a 1CC. Logo will be coming as soon as I finish shamelessly tracing drawing it.

Speaking of, do we mandate 1CC? The Movie Rules page is worded rather ambiguously. I'd vote for single-coin-only because coins are pay-to-win both technically and in spirit.

That's probably a conversation we should have now that arcade TASing is so much more accessible. Remind me to start that conversation soon. also here's the team 1 logo, what the hell is art

Man, you'd think me listing only 1 credit clear times would've been the big indicator. Either way it'll be made more explicitly clear on game reveal. Anyways, there's less than 3 days left to sign up for DTC. The deadline to sign up is 16 September 2023, 23:59 UTC!
