Bowman is a flash game where you have 2 bowmen and you fight to victory with shooting bow and arrows and to try to not die, and the game has 2 modes, VS human, and VS computer, which are similar to each other, but the difference is in VS human, you go up against your friends or pals, and in VS computer, you already get the jist of it, it's you versus the computer, and that's all I gotta say for the game, a very simple concept, but hard at the same time.
Game objectives
Emulator used: libTAS and Ruffle
Beat game as fast as possible.
Stages
The first, and only stage in the game has you going up against another bowman, like in bowmasters, and the goal is to win against the other bowman and not take any damage.

Samsara: Judging.
Memory: User is now banned for death threats, alt accounts, and repeatedly linking roms so cancelling.

Hello there ! Great to see new faces ! I saw that you struggled getting your submission beeing considered played on Flash. There were no need to cancel the submission and resubmit, remember not doing that for next time ;). Today was your first day on the site so we understand, no need to worry. It has been better explained here:
When making a libTAS movie that you plan to submit to TASVideos or upload it to userfiles, put Platform: Flash at the very start of the .ltm annotations, that way the site will recognize your platform properly. This can be done within libTAS by opening Movie -> Annotations while recording a movie.
a *.ltm file is also an archive so you can open it and modify the "annotations.txt" file in it if you are not able to open libTAS at one point.

I did that, I just have to wait, and i'm glad someone on TASVideos is actually being nice to me. Edit: It now says for the system "Adobe Flash", instead of "Linux".

I would like to know if it is possible to do a one-hit headshot kill in Bowman. If viable, why isn't that the optimal strategy to use?

I tested it, and it wasn't possible.

Yes. The author's playing on default meaning that the vitality is 2. Meaning that it only requires 2 shots to the head to win. Out of interest, and immense curiosity, I decided to look into it. So first, is default settings against the AI, which can be found here (66 frames). Next is changing the vitality to 1, which can be found here (12 frames). So the major difference is the amount of shots, 3 shots total, versus 1. And I decided to see what "vs Human" was like, just out of interest, that can be found here (8 frames) with unadjusted vitality settings.

Unfortunate what happened, considering that Bowman is a VERY historically notable Flash game. While it obviously wasn't the first Flash game (that label is disputed and depends on what you consider a "game" vs an "interactive toy", it IS the first ever Flash game to use actual code in the form of ActionScript. Prior to Bowman, Flash games were really just complicated Flash Animations/Movies from a technical standpoint. I think I might tackle this game myself at some point, although I'll have to start from scratch since I don't want to have to track down a banned user to ask for permission to work off of their recording. We'll see.
