With this Super Jump glitch, is it possible to skip the train and grab the sixth star right away in an all stars run?
Yes.

Link to video Malleo has just announced he's working on a new TAS with Blimp Ticket Skip, which should end up at under 2 hours.

I'd like to confirm that a 100% TAS is currently being routed. Included will be approximately 20+ Super Jumps, ~48 Zess T recipes cooked in 1 visit (without leaving the building), a surprising number of badge drops and RNG manipulation galore. This will be such a fun project to work on and I'm excited to start it soon! We will still be a few more weeks I imagine as we attempt to optimize certain intricacies about the route.

What's the 100% requirement for this game? Do you need all shine sprites, level up all helpers, all tasks done, Pit of 100 trials?

I presume it will use the same ruleset as for RTA runs, which is defined in "Rules": https://www.speedrun.com/ttyd#100 This will be a cool run for sure, looking forward to it!

For reference:
100% is defined by collecting everything in the pause menu. This includes: ● All 100 Star Pieces ● All 85 unique Badges ● All 124 Tattles ● All 57 Recipes ● All 42 unique Shine Sprites (duplications don't count) ● All 7 party members upgraded to Ultra Rank ● All 7 Crystal Stars ● All 8 Special Moves ● Superstar Rank at level 30 ● All 4 Paper Curses ● Ultra Boots and Ultra Hammer Completing the Trouble Center and reaching level 99 are not required because these achievements aren't tracked in the pause menu. Collecting all Important Items is not required as it is impossible to possess all of them at the same time.
Also, I never knew you could dupe shine sprites. Interesting. The bug mentioned on twitter for 48 recipes (https://twitter.com/Really_Tall/status/1175880275106177024) also deletes Strange Sack. Does anyone know if that's ever reobtainable?

I'm super excited to see that TAS, hopefully a WIP. This game is the game that introduced me to TAS, and I love it :)

Another TTYD any% TAS is underway, and Malleo has been streaming the process on Twitch almost daily. A new Teleporter Room Early method was found that requires neither Flurrie nor most of Chapter 2. TRE can now be done on Japanese or English, so the new run will be back on the USA English version. After this run is finished, he will start on a 100% run. Prologue has been TASed once again (with a Backwards Goomther appearance with no time loss)! Malleo also went back and rewatched the first TTYD TAS, made by himself, Masterjun and I, on his stream with commentary. It's a long watch, but wow, what a nostalgia trip. Big thanks to Malleo for getting our first TAS off the ground, and working hard to optimize this game for several years now.

Here's an update regarding the state of the current new TTYD TAS in progress. I'm upset by the setback but I know it's better to ensure that the TAS syncs on an authentic version of the game. Link to video

This is the right decision, I wish you good luck with your progress!
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Hahaha. The moment TTYD has an ACE setup that's faster than any% it's all over. Can't wait!

Is this the newest game with an ACE exploit? Edit: Excluding things that require some externally generated file to be added to the system (most of the famous console modding exploits like Twilight Princess, Cubic Ninja ect.)

There's the Sunshine ACE but it required hacking a water drop into a specific Z co-ordinate. This one is more likely (already proven?) to be doable without hacks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_3iNRO3DYY

By technicality, isn't an ACE exploit, but rather an ASE (Arbitrary Script Execution) exploit. Which itself is very powerful, but still technically restricted by the scripting system TTYD uses.

I'm not sure if this is worth a post, but I was thinking about Pit of 100 Trails, and wondered what would a prologue bonetail TAS look like? I don't think it's worth grinding money to skip every single floor to bonetail, is it? Also how's the progress so far on ASE run? Was there anything earlier discovered?
